Summary: Short review alert! You already know what the game is about from the other reviewers so I'll just say what I liked about it. Fun gameplay. You shine the light on enemies to burn away the darkness. Once the darkness is gone you go postal with a glock, or your weapon of choice. I did find myself wishing I could do a little hand to hand fighting when I ran out of bullets, though. Great story. Game is very cinematic and dramatic.
Summary: It's Remedy, so gamers will be familiar with the understated realism of the level design and graphics which further engross you into the game. Also present are noir references that end up being darkly funny. The game can be a little samey in the first couple of chapters but it opens up and provides plenty of variety and thrills.
Summary: I am a big fan of a game that has an awesome story...my thought is anyone can make a game with good graphics, and decent shooting, but a good, original story is difficult to come by, and not since Lost have I gotten on to forums so often to discuss the story. This was a great time, not too long! Played some of the DLC as well, and that is great as well!
Summary: I didn't bother getting the game until this year, and I am shocked both by how cheap it is now and how amazingly good it is. Alan Wake is a very story-driven game that is told in a multi-episode format. This gave me the feeling of being the star of an action/horror genre television show, and though horror/3rd person shooters aren't usually my cup of tea, I found myself having fun more often than not, often whilst soiling my pants.
Summary: A greater portion of the horror games that have come out within last six years have been heavily combat based and centered around gruesome imagery. This title is quite different and offers a lot of mystery coupled with great suspense. Your character isn't a super human or loaded down with weapons and ammo, so timing and tact is really important. A great game if you're looking for something different in the thriller game genre.
Outstanding Story. Addictive Gameplay. Darkness. Light. This is Alan Wake.

Summary: Alan Wake is a story driven game from Remedy. Alan Wake plays out like a TV series with episodes (Chapters), Cliffhangers each episode and shows "Previously on Alan Wake" upon starting a new episode. Throughout the whole game Alan Wake will narrate here and there about the situation and his own thoughts, which was very interesting and a big plus for me. Alan Wakes wife goes missing and he sets out to look for her in a small town called "Bright Falls".
Summary: For the price this game is on the top of my list. Many times during the game play I was ready to jump out of my shoes. It is sort of like a Twin Peaks story. Play it with the lights out. It is a five star.
Summary: I'm a huge fan of the Silent Hill, Resident Evil and Persona series so just about every survival horror game is a must-buy for me. I didn't really know what to expect going into the game but it turned out great. The graphics were stellar, the story was top notch, all the DLC was great. My only grip is the controls took a little getting used to, but hey, every game is different.
