Summary: i reallly loved this game! it was extreamily fun and my most favorite part was taking the drugs lol. i mean, sure, mabey it wasnt anything like the 1988 arcade NARC, and it did let you take drugs, but hey, doesnt it make it more fun? i gave this game a 5-star in fun-ness and 4-star in overall only because some of the missions get some sor of glitch or are just insanely hard. but overall, i loved this game and i think its a great buy!
Summary: What the hell happened here? did midway accidentally release an unfinished game? Short and sweet....This game sucks....bad....illegally bad. Terrible graphics... choppy controls, and the whole buying and selling drug thing gets old after a while. And whats with the 3 song playlist? They must have given the artists a preview copy of this game, thats probably why no one would let their music in this game. c'mon Midway...you're better than this.
Summary: This game had so much going for it. But, like most '80's video games that have been redone it SUCKS. Crappy story, followed by crappy gameplay. I think Midway should of held off the release to improve. I know this isn't GTA, but that is beside the point.
Summary: Let me start off by saying I am not a big gamer. Not at all. The last game I bought was Grand Theft Auto for Xbox over a year ago; and the only time I really play games are when I'm with my friends. But when I found out about this game, I immediatly went to Best Buy and paid the low price of $20. I found out about Narc in a New York Times article and was immediatly drawn to it because of the nature of the game--selling and taking drugs.
Summary: Narc was a huge action arcade hit in the 1980s. It received some criticism back then for containing drugs in the game, although these were only used by the enemies who you are out to kill. This version on the Xbox is not bad, but does have it's problems and perhaps only worth buying if you can pick it up for under £10. Would not recommend for children though due to the use of drugs in the game.
Pros: Can be interesting and original but controversial idea
Summary: This game is never going to rate as an X-Box classic, which is a real shame as it had a great licence behind it. I bought this game mainly for nostalgia's sake as the early 90's coin op of the same name claimed huge amounts of mine and my best mates pocket money. Unfortunately, while this new version is VERY loosely based on this in terms of storyline, the actual game itself is completely remodelled with much of the over the top enemies from the original nowhere to be...
Summary: The premise of this game appealed to me so I bought it to see if it was any good, unfortuneatly it isn't, the budget price was a clue, I bought it for £9.99 on it's release day. The graphics are truly awful, they look like PS1 graphics on the Xbox here, they are unbelievably bad, and the game is extremely monotonous and boring, your character runs around a small city map trying to sell drugs, asking people if they want to get high, doing the most tedious of missions...
