Just as in many follow-ups to hit EA games, MVP 2005 doesn’t step too far out of the box when poking at the competition, and frankly, it doesn’t have to. MVP Baseball 2005 still has a gameplay engine that rivals anything out there and gives the best overall experience of actually playing in a big league game. Read more

    • Xbox Live support (finally); nice, fast pace; impeccable fielding control.

MVP Baseball 2005 review Game Over Online - http://www.game-over.com Say what you will about the 2004-2005 sports season, but one thing cannot be denied: it was definitely full of competition, dramatic moments and controversy. Curiously, the same could be said for its video game counterpart, with EA’s acquisition of the NFL license, followed by Take Two’s response by taking MLB off the sports table. Read more

In my college and single days, I ate way more than my share of fast food. McDonald’s, Burger King, Taco Bell, you name it; if they had a drive-thru, chances are I’d been there. Now if you ask me my opinion about McDonald’s based solely on my experience at "Mickey D’s", you would get one answer. If you asked instead about how McDonald’s compares to the other rapid dining establishments, the answer would be completely different.

Young Award. Pitching uses a similar meter as EA’s Madden football uses for kicking. You must first select the pitch, then aim where you would like the ball to go in the batter’s box. Then a meter moves, and you must stop it in a “sweet” spot that decides the quality of the particular pitch by hitting the corresponding button related to the pitch you selected, such as a curve ball. You must stop the meter a second time to control the location. Read more

i know that there are still a bunch of loyal original Xbox people out there like myself, and i'm telling you, MVP Baseball 2005 is still one of the best overall baseball games and stands easily in competition with today's The Show and 2K baseball games. think of The Show but much easier to player and as less high definition graphics. the game is awesome, very simple to play, commentary is good, and the graphics are excellent. MVP has added so many new options to the gameplay. Now there is an Owner Mode where you can build your own ballpark and make so many front office decisions you couldn't make in the previous games. Also new is Xbox Live. While this is a solid addition, it's really only useful for the roster updates. Of course, the sounds are perfect. You can almost tell a good hit from a bad one just by the sound it makes. The graphics are also good. Read more
