The victory was short lived, though, as the Dragon King, Onaga, former ruler of Outworld then returned.   • Excerpt: Okay, it isn't really, but it is the greatest fighting game released this year. Midway did a good job of making a solid game that's going to appeal to most gamers out there. No, it isn't as well rounded as Soul Calibur II or as deep as Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution - not by a long shot.

  • Conclusion: A step in the right direction for the Mortal Kombat series, Deception shows there is light at the end of the tunnel for Kombat fans, even if there's still a ways to go before it can fully stand up to the juggernauts of the genre. Try before you buy.

  • Conclusion: Die Idee, Hüpfspiel und Action-RPG unter einen Hut zu bringen, ist ja im Prinzip nicht übel, nur erscheint das Ergebnis hier halbherzig umgesetzt. Besonders die mittelmäßige Kameraführung stellt ein Problem dar, was auf Dauer relativ nervig ist.
