Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance
Into Liquid Sky

Excerpt: Midway brings us another addition to their Mortal Kombat franchise. As we all well know - the MK franchise has endured some bumpy roads and immensely crappy games, TV shows, comic books and movies over the past decade. After they announced another title to the franchise, I was a bit skeptical. I really couldn't see how they could bring it back with the same feel of the first two. But I'm happy to report that Midway has nailed the 3D Mortal Kombat formula down.
Pros: Lots of stuff to unlock, Cool new characters, Addictive
Cons: Without the unlockable stuff, this title is merely an average brawler
Excerpt: Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance is the first Mortal Kombat to be designed to go directly to home consoles. That fact has brought about many improvements to the game. There is an extensive Konquest mode, which will be explained shortly as well as a Krypt mode involving purchasing 700+ items using another new item, Koinage earned from winning fights. All of these together improve the game immensely.
