Mission Impossible: Operation Surma Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: Mission Impossible: Operation Surma does a great job of building upon the storylines of the major motion pictures found in the Mission Impossible series. By combining the authentic look and feel along with a newly created storyline, gamers are presented with an intriguing title that fans of the stealth/action genre should definitely turn an eye to. If games like Splinter Cell and Metal Gear Solid are among your favorites, this is a game that would add to that collection.

  • Conclusion: bypass security systems, from an international conglomerate known as SURMA. Operation Surma carries the genuine feel of the Mission Impossible franchise, but the graphical and technical flaws water down most everything else. The first flaw is the slow framerate. Moving the camera from side to side, it’s clearly sluggish.

  • Excerpt: It’s night, and you’re on board a helicopter. The pilot hands you a tape machine, and pressing the only button it starts to play. “Agent 6FPQ3, your mission, if you wish to accept it, is to retrieve the Russian satellite disk. Stolen from government offices in Kuwait, we need it back before the terrorists take over the world. Survive by stealth and pick up weapons as you go. That is all. This tape will self destruct in five seconds”.

Mission Impossible: Operation Surma

  • Cons: schwache KI, deutsche Synchronisation
