MIDTOWN MADNESS 3 - NOT BRILL BUT NOT BAD!

"lfc1985", amazon.co.uk
30 January 2004
  • Summary: Midtown Madness 3 is a fairly good game with decent races and tests and an added find the paint work feature in cruise mode. There are over 30 cars to race with once you have unlocked them! It is set in 2 large cities, Paris and Washington with blitz and checkpoint races together with work undercover mode and x box live. The graphics are good, but the sound is not as good as an example being those annoying french accents!

  • Excerpt: Midtown Madness 3 (MM3) is as one would suspect the third in the 'Midtown Madness' series, of which made and stayed their way onto the PC. Not being familiar with the previous two makes it difficult to make distinctions or similarities between them, but if they're as bad as this steaming mountain of faeces then I'm happy to be blissfully ignorant.

Great laugh

Tea Tango, amazon.co.uk
1 December 2003
  • Summary: This game is laugh, you can drive through lamposts, knowck down metal fences with the public screaming at you the whole time. Drive sports cars, the new beetle, taxis, cement mixers... You can also play it xbox live (which i dont have) which is menat to be good fun. On your own, you'd get bored or racing round the whole time, and the undercover missions are good. They are almost all about racing round but you take people places in limos, drive a security guard van...

Better than I expected

Ole Jacob Broch, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: Well, well! I was a sceptic at first, but this game is simply great fun. Don't expect anything really serious - rather prepare for an entertaining ride through Paris or Washington. As a single player, you have the options of working as an undercover agent or competing in single races. You may also spend time "sightseeing" the cities. In undercover mode, you unveil new missions and careers as you advance.

Midtown Madness 3

"alex_nicolson", amazon.co.uk
24 July 2003
  • Summary: On first impressions you could be forgiven for thinking this is just another ordinary racing game. Believe me, it is certainly not that. You will be put behind the wheel of a whole host of vehicles ranging from a mini to a lotus, racing around two vast cities, Washington D.C and Paris. Single player mode finds you thrashing round the streets against other cars in a race against time, performing certain tasks along the way.

Midtown madness 3

  • Summary: Midtown madness is a absolute fantastic game aimed at peole who enjoy the faster pace of games. Ill start by saying whats bad because thats important: 1. Cars can be a bit light at times especially the mini 2. Its wierd when a small car like the mini can send massive busses flying (but fun) 3. One player can be completed quite quick and slighty repetitive Thats all rearlly for bad points. i didnt find any of them to disruptive good points; 1.

Good Xbox Live Game

Mr. A. J. Miles "theologica", amazon.co.uk
30 June 2003
  • Summary: This is a good racing game especially if you have Xbox live. In campaign mode you go undercover to found out information. You take various jobs and have to complete different tasks before moving on. Graphics are good although sometimes you crash into trees and sometimes not. It’s not consistent so could make for a frustrating game. Midtown Madness scores however, on its live compatibility which is excellent.
