SpongeBob Squarepants: The Movie Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: While SpongeBob Squarepants: The Movie doesn’t break any new ground and won’t win any game of the year awards it is a solid single player game that will keep youngsters and maybe even people into their 20’s busy for at least twelve hours. With the extras that you can earn numerous challenges to overcome the game offers a fairly enjoyable experience.

MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: If you borrowed, rented or bought MechAssault you will want to make sure you get your hands on a copy of its much bigger brother. The single-player story mode is beefed up and gives players a better representation of life as a soldier in the Mech world and how their role impacts the ever evolving combat tearing the galaxy in pieces. The multiplayer modes are where the game’s success is ultimately going to be measured by the audience.

The Laser
7 November 2005
  • Summary: Microsoft's follow-up to their critically acclaimed robotic title, MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf expands the player's options with new mechs, weapons, and enhanced abilities. While the game still emphasizes action and destruction, new features have been added to make the game even better. Players can now exit their mech and run around, take over other mechs by jacking into them and more. The single player experience is excellent but the improved online mode is outstanding.

As a result, you are forced to go into action, earlier than “Briefing Boy” would like you to, in your new experimental battle armor, a variation on the Elemental from the first

Mech Assault 2: Lone Wolf

Xbox Evolved
8 October 2005
  • Summary: Mech Assault 2: Lone Wolf’s biggest downfall is the punishing method you search for games on Xbox Live, and the feeling of imbalance throughout the title. There are a lot of new fantastic aspects such as more tactical team based games, mech-jacking, and fantastic visuals. If you are a huge fan of the Mech Warrior games and mythos, this is a must buy.
  • Pros: Lots of new additions
  • Cons: None of the new additions can outweigh the average online play

  • Excerpt: MechAssault was one of the standout titles on Xbox Live when it first launched. It paved the way for reliable online multiplayer and loads of content downloads. MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf amps up the multiplayer game and beefs up the single player story mode to boot. It's a great thing.

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: Whether MechAssault 2: Lone Wolf is a 'Must Buy' depends on whether you have Xbox Live or not. The singleplayer campaign is fun and the story will keep you entertained, especially if you are already a fan of the BattleTech universe, but the online components are the real draw here. Take the game online and all of a sudden you'll be whiling away the hours, getting yourself into all sorts of real-world problems due to missed engagements.
