Summary: The one that started it all, max Payne. This game is still one of the best games ever made and without a doubt has one of the best stories ever written. Max Payne 1 had some amazing graphics for its time and some incredible gameplay as well, even with the age of this game I would still recommend it to any and every soul out there it truly has one of the best stories ever written and has some really cool cutscenes as well.
Summary: I remember I used to watch my dad play this game on his pc when I was 3 or 4 years old. When I got an xbox in early 2004 I was so happy to get this game. It has a wide, wide range of weapons you can get. There are very very intense parts in the game. Level 9 is the scariest. The sound is amazing for it's time, and when my dad and I would play this game, I just couldn't put the controller down. This is the most scary game, and has a great story.
Summary: Max Payne is a phenomenal game. I got this back in 2004 when I got my XBOX and it is truly one of the best XBOX games of all time. The series was multiplatform as it was on the ps2 but was far superior on the XBOX. Controls and graphics were a lot better on the XBOX version. Gameplay ? Thats what this game is about intense fun and never a dull moment. This is the type of game when you pick it up you do not stop playing until you beat it and thats no joke.
Summary: Max Payne is one of those games where u just can't stop playing it. I got it a few days ago, and I'm halfway through it! The graphics are o.k. the storyline is nearly flawless. And the challenge is sometimes difficult, sometimes easy. But, the one thing that makes max payne different from other action games is BULLET TIME! It is the most awesome thing ever.
Conclusion: This game is one of the many Xbox 1 hits available to play on the 360 using the backwards compatibility feature. I have never played it when it first came out for the Xbox 1, but I had the chance to purchase it for a really low price and I think it is one of the more worthwhile titles of Generation 1 to make the jump to the 360 with the backwards compatibility feature.
Conclusion: Max Payne. The first time i heard "Payne to the Max!" i knew. Yeah, things were going to get oh so cheesy but just like eating 5 pounds of cheese Max Payne leaves you a bit unsatisfied and only wanting more. Plus the diarrehea. Um... scratch that last part. Well Max Payne is a 3rd person shooter with a unique bullet time feature that in the day and age of 2007, might not seem so unique but when it originally came out, it was by a long shot.
Conclusion: When I first saw The Matrix and realized that the trend nowadays is to release a game based on every single fiction movie there is, I couldn't wait for bullet-time to hit gaming consoles. But now that I've played Max Payne I've decided that even the creator of bullet-time(The Matrix) can't do better than this. This is the first time that I've played a game with bullet-time and I don't remember any other game having bullet-time, so this is probably one of the greatest...
Conclusion: This is the first game I played where bullet-time was a feature. Oh how sweet it is! This game is one of the best gaming experiences I ever had. Max Payne is a cop framed for murder, and he has nothing to lose. At the beginning his family is murdered. As you progress throughout the game, you'll come into contact with all the complete sickos that play their parts in this game.
