Summary: Mad Dash Racing wasn't the most popular title on the original XBOX despite being published by Eidos. Plus, it was at a time when racing games went into rapid decline, and music games were becoming ever more popular (particularly in the 360/PS3/Wii period). However it was also a time when there were few bothering to experiment with other titles and this is one reason why the game failed - nobody bothered to try it.
Excerpt: Mad dash racing was the first ever game I bought on the X-BOX. I bought it because it was a multi-player game so that the whole family and friends could all play together and compared to the price of say Mario Kart it was cheap. ***Packaging*** It comes in a sealed typically green XBOX DVD case. There is a picture on the front of the sleeve of a few of the characters all racing at high speed towards the finish line.
A racing game on foot... but very poorly done with no lasting gameplay, although fun for five mins

Excerpt: THE PLOT: Well, there isnt really one as far as I can tell. You take one of several small furry characters and try to get from the start to the end of the race as quick as possible, encountering various obstacles on the way. THE CHARACTERS: You get to choose to be one of several little critters who happen to be involved in the 'mad dash' to the finish, each with their own set of particular qualities. One is supposed to be faster, one slower but stronger...
Summary: *** I bought this for the youngster but paid under a tenner when it was on offer on Amazon earlier this year and it is OK. It isn't the best but it isn't the worst - it's simple enough and worth buying. Well, certainly worth the tenner but I can't say whether I would have paid much more for it.
Excerpt: Mad dash is one of those titles u can pick up at the bottom of the bargain bin or in the back of someones car at a local car boot, as its been around for quite a while now, able to be bought with the loose cash at the bottom of your pocket. However, dont let this fool you. When buying this game i was looking for a quick bit of simplistic gaming, to fill a few hours during a rainy day and Mad Blast certainly delivers.
Summary: This is a simple game that is probably meant for younger kids between the ages of 7 and 12. If I give you my honest opinion, it is that the game doesn't have enough racing. It is a good game but I think it needs to have more tracks, more characters and more racing. It would take you an average of 8 hours to complete if you've had your xbox for a while, and you have just about got used the the feeling of the controller.
Excerpt: After watching my brother play this game for weeks on end, i decided to delve into it myself. After one frustrating race, with him taking every shortcut imaginable, of which there are so many, i lost, and he jumped around the room( i beat you, i beat you), and he's only 8!! I didnt touch the game, until a few days ago when my brother pleaded with me to find some cheats for the game on the web.
