Conclusion: Recently I decided to double my Xbox gaming library. Being that I'm a fairly new Xbox convert (I've had PS2 since it first came out and PS1 before that), I've tasked myself with trying "the other" side. But I wanted to expand my horizons to have at least one game from each genre. I got the Top Spin with my holiday pack, but I wanted something else. Links was what I chose. I don't regret that decision one bit. In fact, it's my most played game next to Splinter Cell.
Summary: Ordered this game for a mate, so glad I could get a brand new copy. We play 2 - 4 player Offline matches, passing round the controller. The main difference between Links2004 and the "Other" franchise gameplay wise' is that in Links2004 you must set your spin etc BEFORE you take your shot. Career mode and challenges unlocks more courses, balls, shafts etc and you can spend your hard earned cash on skills for your character.
Summary: I made the mistake of dismissing this game when it first was released. But after having it recommended i purchased it for a bargain price (£17) and i have to say i'm very impressed. It is like tiger woods in some ways but i think Links plays alot better. A few times on Tiger Woods i got a whole in one simply because the game was being 'nice' to me. Having played Links for a few days i haven't yet got a hole in one. I do know that if/when i get one it will be earned.

Summary: I bought Links on a whim and I am hugely impressed. The graphics are sharp, the varying conditions affect the play, the online is awesome and the game has plenty to keep you occuppied. I have also played Tiger Woods 2005 and thought the graphics were awful for a game of its, supposed, calibre. As for the limited course selection? If you have access to live then this will never be a problem. 3 courses are available for download already!!!!
Summary: If you use Xbox Live and have a european/PAL Xbox then this is the only way to get your golfing kicks online given that EA have removed the online component from Tiger Woods 2005 on the European release of Tiger Woods. I own both the Tiger Woods and Links on the Xbox and I have to say that I prefer Links set of challengers and courses to Tiger Woods 'power-drive' style of golf. Overall a great single and multiplayer game and the ONLY ONE in europe to support XBOX Live.
Summary: Links 2004 is an excellent sports sim for golfers and non golfers alike. Many review will slate this game and compare it to Tiger Woods. It is simply a different approach to Tiger Woods and should not be compared. This is a more realistic sim as opposed to Tiger which is more arcade like. The graphics are superb, and although there are a couple of minor glitches this game will keep you occupied for a long time. This is an excellent online game for those with Live.
Summary: There is a lot of tournaments and challenges to do in your career so it isnt one of those game where u get bored in 5 mins. Its good fun and you can play it with all ya mates! To be honest TIGER WOODS PGA TOUR IS BETTER much better. It has real players and there is much more to do when u make your own player. Create a player on links 2004 is POOR. Some of the challenges are impossible.
Summary: This is an awesome golf game. Things i like: Very good graphics, Personalized soundtrack, realistic, putting is much better then Tiger Woods. Dislikes: Not such a big course selection as Tiger Woods. This is a must buy for the Xbox owner !!
Summary: This is a great game. It has the best graphics I've seen in any golf game so far. There are 9 courses to play (1 fantasy course), and they all look great. Also, if you've got xbox live, you can download additional courses. Also, you can join tournaments, or start your own and play with people worldwide if you like, or just play along with some friends if you like.
