Summary: This was the first leisure suit Larry game I have tried after Leisure Larry love for sail. First impression is that the 3d is shoddy and doesn't work very well for the style in my opinion. It makes the game alarmingly look like a game for young children. Saying that, it matches the childish humour (or lack of) in the game. The gameplay is pretty straight forward once you get used to the basic controls.
Excerpt: Meet larry a college looser who is trying to live up to his uncle (who is also called larry) withe the ladies. In this game you must get with as many women as you can which can be funny. The game follows the same format with all the girls you come across. It normally follows a chat then a minigame and you repeat that process two more times.
Excerpt: I picked this one up after playing a demo on the Unofficial XBox magazine a while ago. I paid £29.99, but its now available new for about £14.99 - or £7.99 second hand in most good shops like Game. So, having seen the price crash so soon after I bought it, I thought I would review it. THE PLOT: The plot is very simple really, you're name is Larry and you have one goal in life, getting laid!
Pros: Boobies, adult humour, good laugh
Cons: Cant leave it where the kids can get it, repetitive .
Excerpt: If you can forgive its brain-dead gameplay and occasionally frustrating design, Magna Cum Laude is a hysterically entertaining romp through a world of wacky sexual hijinks. Times sure have changed since the last time a Leisure Suit Larry game hit store shelves. Once the name in sexually charged adventure gaming, the Leisure Suit Larry series has been altogether dormant since the '90s.
Summary: this larry has spoilt the larry series. this game iz mini games over and over, u dont even have to play the games u can skip erm. i cant understand why they made the game like this. it iz very easy, a 5 yr old could complete it. larry love for sail was 1 of the best games ive played but this 1 is totaly different.
Summary: WARNING - item reviewed is PAL/European Uncensored version. This game is worth playing through at least a couple of times. The minigames at first seem facile and repetitive, but once you get used to it you can concentrate on the humour going on in the background - the different conversations you can have, or, say, the reactions of a girl being heartily spanked! If this was a typical Noughties college fratboy comedy movie, it would actually be a pretty good one.
Excerpt: I bought this game thinking it would be a good laugh and something that could just be picked up and played straight away and wasn’t over complicated. At first I was right. The dialogue between Larry and the other characters, although childish and crude, is very funny and the humour was fairly constant (to the stage I played it anyway). The idea behind the game is not particularly complicated and mastering the controls takes no time at all.
Pros: Very funny and should provide plenty of laughs .
Cons: Far too repetative to have any lasting appeal .
