King Of Fighters 02/03 Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: It’s nice to see a classic entry into a long running series take itself seriously enough to include a few of the nice touches that we see from King of Fighters 02/03 . From the language options and color modifier to the inclusion of Xbox Live functionality there’s plenty to show that SNK isn’t simply trying to make a buck from one of its best series.

Juiced

  • Conclusion: Unfortunately however there's a few aspects to the game which don't feel quite right, although it's hard to work out quite where things go slightly wrong - possibly the handling, or maybe the damage model, or possibly even the fact that there's simply been some outstanding titles come along in the recent months which have raised the bar.

Juiced

Game Over Online

  • Excerpt: There's a lot to like about Juiced. It's got a very clean interface, the racing is fast, and the customization isn't even remotely a chore. Being able to do tricks with your car is also a hoot. I'd be lying if I said the game was perfect, though. Far from it. It's kind of hard to decide where to start with this.

Game Over Online

  • Excerpt: It's kind of hard to decide where to start with this. On the plus side, the racing is an intriguing mix of sim and arcade physics, the betting system is most interesting, and I absolutely love the driving team aspect of the game. On the other hand, this game can be absolutely infuriating. Let's start with the good and see where that takes us. There's a lot to like about Juiced.

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: It's hard for us to recommend Juiced over the many other racing games released recently. A harsh betting system backfires easily and leaves the player struggling to scratch some cash together. A lot of effort has gone into other areas of Juiced, it's a shame that an obsession with the management of every element of the game has made it a struggle to play, when you should be able to just jump in to a race.

  • Conclusion: We have to thank THQ from pulling this franchise from the doomed Acclaim brand because Juiced is a good, fun racing game that has some canny ideas. Although you might be exhausted from Midnight Club 3 and Need for Speed Underground 2 you should still take a moment to check out Juiced.
