Single player fun....but with friends EVEN BETTER!
4 August 2004
Summary: I played this game in single player mode and to me it seemed like a mix of Gauntlet Dark Legacy, with the edges that resemble magic, and Resident Evil with the whole zombie slaughtering shoot em up game playing. You get some awesome weapons like high powered rifles, grenade launchers, rocket launchers, crossbows, pistols and shotguns. You also get magic to either blow away the enemies or healing yourself.
fun and not impossible to defeat. ALSO HELP FOR U!!!

Summary: look this game is good due to wat others say. the graphics are ok and the battles are intense. thers lots of weapons and all sort of enemies. this game is also can be played with 4 players!!every caracter is great with there own abilities which r cool. like some restore health protect give strenght. and stuff. its not impossible to beat ive beat the game. it is tough but you can make it through. if your playin only for one player dont bother to buy it.
Summary: Hunter:The Reckoning is a great game. I would recommend this game for anyone who likes hack-n-slash and/or Resident Evil style games. Basically you pick from one of four characters, each with their own special abilities (Edges), and cut and blast your way through hords of zombies, werewolves, vampires, and other nightmareish creatures. The graphics are excellent.
Summary: "Hunter" isn't the most fun game to play. It's not the best looking. It's not really the most challenging. And it doesn't require a lot of thought. And yet you won't be able to stop playing it. Yes, "Hunter" falls right in as one of those games that, in spite of its shortfalls, is just a blast to play. You basically go through, slashing and shooting your way through over twenty levels of zombie-filled madness.
Summary: I thought this game was quite entertaining singleplayer, but the multiplayer feature was even better. You could start wherever you left off and fight story mode with 3 other friends. although the game is very repetitive, the swarms of zombies and monsters never gets me tired of the game. Hunter is great for a get together with the friends or even by yourself. the design and art of the game is very well detailed and the monsters are very well done.
Summary: This is a classic hack-n-slash, kill everything in sight game. You can choose one of four characters (1-4 players), each with different abilities. Game play is fairly basic: survive, meet a few objectives, and beat the bosses. Hunter does a good job of showcasing the graphical features of the Xbox with lots of special effects, and has pretty good sound. On the down side, the game can get tedious with the sheer number of zombie monsters you have to kill.
Summary: Okay...I bought this game the day it came out, and thought that I would lend my review. Some of the reviews here are from people who didn't know what they were getting in to when they purchased/rented the game, and gave it unfair reviews. While the person reviewing the game didn't enjoy it, and might give it a low score, it was generally because they didn't know what to expect from the game. First off, this game was developed to be a multi-player game.
Summary: Hi, would have given Hunter 4.5 stars. Can't seem to do it however. I bought Hunter based on reviews at various game sites. It is the only other Xbox game that I own, the other being Rally Sport. I love Hunter. I thought it might just be an OK game based on some opinions I read but, it certainly comes down to choice. I played with all the characters to start off and ended up with Avenger as my first character to use to get through the game. I'm not done yet but, close.
Summary: My XBox is used to rent games. I have yet to buy any. I have a decent sized collection of PS 2 and GameCube games. The XBox has been a dust collector for a while. This weekend I decided to do some renting to see if there is anything of value for the system yet, and thankfully there is.
Summary: Hunter: The Reckoning is an addictive, fun game for Mature players do to violence, gore and mild language. The jist of the game is a simple hack-and-slash made even better by the graphics capabilities of the Xbox. The Good: Graphics are strong, and though the lighting is dim their is a brightness option in the game. The enemies/enviroment look great, and the blood effects are nicely done. For a hack-and-slash there are enough suprises to keep things interesting.
