Best Baseball Game Ever

jong chung, Amazon
11 April 2004
  • Summary: Thanks to the real Big Shot (Potomac Cannons), this game is great. I've seen the Big Shot's baseball game since 1994, and I'm gonna play this game in 2004, ten years from when I've seen the real baseball game.

My Favorite Sports Game!

Kristian Pulz "Web Guru", Amazon
5 January 2004
  • Summary: Everything is great about this game! The graphics are the best I've seen on PS2 yet. They allow you to choose the level that you want to play at, even after you've already started a season (unlike most games). The best part is the control over the game that you have.

Almost Great

  • Summary: I've been playing baseball games on computers and consoles for a long time. I date myself here by saying that I started with Microleague Baseball on the Atari 800XL. I still regard that as my favorite experience in the baseball genre.

High Heat v.s. MVP

"neil73545", Amazon
13 July 2003
  • Summary: High Heat Baseball is one of the most in depth baseball simulators ever created. The ammount of statistics is overwhelming. The minor leqague farm system is well incorperated in this game as well. However the actual player and team names are not used. It is a great representation of the actual game.

bad mechanics

"popnfreshuc", Amazon
12 July 2003
  • Summary: A few run throughs with this game and I thought it was good. After playing numerous games though, I have to disagree with my initial response. After playing MVP with my friends, I have to agree that the graphics in High Heat are terribly generic.

  • Summary: Pros: 1. High Heat is on Xbox! 2. The great simulation engine comes along with it Cons: 1. No Improvements at all on the gameplay 2. About the worst graphics i've ever seen on the Xbox 3. Sound and announcers are humdrum and repetitive 4. Menu system is too complex to begin with 5.

Dull as a Tiger game

Ann Arbor Reader, Amazon
8 May 2003
  • Summary: I played this game after renting the competition from EA Sports and Acclaim, and I was really disappointed. The audio frequently interrupted itself and sometimes failed to match the action on screen. Also, the announcers summon all the enthusiasm and realistic chatter of HAL in the movie "2001.

The ones who don't like this game are not real baseball fans

Alan Chan, Amazon
8 April 2003
  • Summary: This game totally captures the authentic feel of a real baseball game. The strategy that goes into pitching and batting is totally realistic. Real life strategies for setting up a batter with different pitches applies in this game, and they're actually required.
