Summary: Yes, the graphics are weak and the characters are creepy-looking. Yes, the combat is mushy. Yes, there are some swimming sequences that are frustrating as hell. Yes, there was a bug on one of the levels prevented me from continuing, and I had to start over from the beginning. All that does not matter. I *did* start over from the beginning, because I was having so much fun, because Galleon is an absolute pleasure to play.
Summary: Galleon has had somewhat mixed reviews in the mags, so when my copy arrived I was expecting it to be one of those love it or hate type of games, but it isn't, it's quite simply brilliant. I wont bother going through all the "you play captain Rhama ..." stuff as you can read that anywhere, I'd rather just give a gamers opinion on the main features: GRAPHICS The graphics are stunning, they've gone for an animated story look and they've achieved it, in play the game is...
Summary: First things first, ignore any comments from XBM Magazine that only gave this a poxy 6 out of 10, its definately at least a 9. The first thing that strikes you about this title is the unusual graphical style of the characters however, any misgivings with this soon disappear as soon as you see everything moving. It all looks absolutely wonderful - smooth animations on the characters and lush, beautiful environments.
Worth the wait - and better than the magazines say

Summary: There have been some negative magazine reviews about Galleon but they're definitely wrong. It's fantastic! The graphics may not be as advanced as some new games but the levels still look great and the gameplay is superb. If you liked the first Tomb Raider and want a game with a good story with well designed levels and puzzles then pick this up. Combat isn't outstanding but it's still fun.

Summary: Swifter than a greyhound out a trap. More athletic than a gold medal-winning gymnast. And as lithe and stretchy as your favourite elastic-limbed porn star. Only uglier, and a bloke. That's Captain Rhama for you. When you're speeding along wooden bridges jutting out of the sheer rock, leaping and swinging from precariously placed beams and struts, the wind rippling your hair and flapping your coat tails, the sense of exhilaration is unlike almost anything else you've felt...
Summary: There's R.P.G.'s, and Action games. Then there's Galleon, in a completely different league of it's own. A fantastic array of colourful graphics accompany the storyline, with some great background music at times to match. Not trying to give too much away, i'll say this, if your a true gamer, you'll want this in your collection. This is one of those games, you'd buy an Xbox just to play. Cracking game.
