Wish it was longer

  • Summary: This game is extremely fun, and I could play it over and over. The only problem I have with it is how short the game is. You get to the last map in the blink of an eye, and the game ends very abruptly after the last mission is completed. I feel like the game could have been taken a lot further. Overall, the quality does overcome the quantity, and playing Freedom Fighters will be an enjoyable experience no matter how many times you replay it.

  • Summary: Freedom Fighters for the X Box is a cool game. The overall concept is well done and interesting. The game play is easy to pick up and figure out. Graphics: Not the best, but they are pretty good. Control: Easy. Fun Factor: Could play it over and over again. Overall: The game is fun and easy to control; however, the game itself is way to easy. It is perfect for new gamers.

Beautifully simple

  • Summary: This game has alot of fun elements. Both the single player and multiplayer I enjoyed. Graphics: The graphics are good. They border on cell-shading. Sound: Again, it's good. The people will say some funny things to you like "I'm not your huckleberry" when you try to recruit them without enough spots on your squad. Camera View: 3rd person. It's easy to move around with it, no complaints.

  • Summary: the AI in this game is amazing. the men/women you recruit not only follow your orders, they are also highly intuitive- for example, they wont only stay in the area you send them, they will find cover, the will duck during heavy enemy fire, and will search out and destroy all enemies within a perimeter. F.F.'s is so much more tactical than i thought it would be. i love sending out three of my team to one area and another three soldiers to another- it's just so COOL!

Multiplayer is fun but needs improvement

Bones Justice, Amazon

  • Summary: The single player game is great and others have summed it up well. In both the single and multiplayer modes, there are only two options for control setup. The only difference between the two is how you use the joysticks - a major difference but it would have been nice to customize the controls any way you want. I can't understand why games these days don't have a free-edit mode for control setup. The multiplayer is great fun. Action/strategy like this is a rare find.

I've grown to like this game!

  • Summary: I bought this game and first played it on the easiet difficulty setting. I beat it in around 3 hours. I was a little dissapointed, thinking I had wasted my money. Then I switched to a a harder setting and then the game became a whole lot more fun. The only major complaint is you have to use your "health kits" manually. I think that if you automatically reload your gun, you can heal yourself too.

HITMAN 2 is better

Kurt Angle fan "Chris", Amazon
10 June 2004
  • Summary: I loved Hitman 2 with the multiple routes on each level and you can go in guns blazing or use stealth. About 2 years later when Hitman 2 came out Freedom fighters came out(simular to Conflict Desert Storm). When playing the game there's not alot of originality. You can't control your team mates like in Conflict Desert Storm. At the start of the game you are plumbing in New York and the Soviet Union come to take over New York.

  • Summary: funny, my amazone account recommended it, and I kept ignoring it. I saw it at Toys R Us (...), and picked it up. I must mention I bought Red dead Revolver too(which I was really excited about). My friend and I ended up not putting this game down, and never touching Red Dead. It is the ultimate Red Dawn video game experience. The graphics are good, the music is really good, and the gameplay is just all around fun.

Freedom Fighters Reader Review - 8.4

Shadowstalker, IGN Entertainment

  • Conclusion: Finnaly, here is a squad based game where controling your team is as easy as pressing a button. The intense fights you get into, backed by a great story, leaves this game looking good. While it had more potential, you couldn't really ask for much more. The multiplayer is good solid fun, but should of had more than just capture the flag. If your looking for a fun, easy to use squad controlling system, this is the game for you.

Great fun!

  • Summary: Awsome game! you get a chance to command your troops into battle, and the game has lots of action in it too! The multiplayer is really REALLY cool, you get to command either Soviet, or American. Capturing the flag is fun. But thats the only thing you do, or. At least the only mode you can play. Awsome game though. I strongly suggest buying it for Xbox so you can play four player.
