Summary: This game came out in 2002, and for old it is it's still worth playing today. This game did not git all the credit it deserved for when it came out. This game is one of my favorite games, for old system's.
Summary: i loved this game its got a good story and its fun leading your army and i added it to my wishlist and i would like to see a freedom fighters 2 come on the first one was good make a second one and i gave this a 8 out of 10 i would give it a 9 out of 10 if the graphics were better
Conclusion: Freedom Fighters is a wonderful game about how you take on the role of Christopher Stone, and evolve from an average New Yorker into a fearless patriot who recruits and leads an army of freedom fighters in the streets of New York City. Freedom Fighters combines the depth of a group-based game with the intensity of an action-packed war game, all of which unfolds in the streets, subways, and buildings of the ultimate urban battleground.
Conclusion: Wow! The TXB review is WAY OFF! I have not many games worse than this one! :( What a piece of ****. Everything that was praised in the review: graphics, AI, gameplay, etc are just VERY sub-par. The graphics (especially the models and lighting) suck horrendously. The voice-"acting" is horrible. The AI is so stupid. This game has one of the worst control schemes ever (only later do you find out some tricks to make it easier).
Conclusion: Freedom Fighters is an awesome game. Superior graphics, and the storyline is beliveable and interesting. Game controls are well thought out and playable. There is one thing I would really like to see as a upgrade. The map protion could be greatly improved by showing it in larger acale with more detail. It would also be a nice touch to have a compass in the game while playing to help you find your way around in the playing field.
Conclusion: Finnaly, here is a squad based game where controling your team is as easy as pressing a button. The intense fights you get into, backed by a great story, leaves this game looking good. While it had more potential, you couldn't really ask for much more. The multiplayer is good solid fun, but should of had more than just capture the flag. If your looking for a fun, easy to use squad controlling system, this is the game for you.

Excerpt: "For starters this game is very well layed out. Good graphics and good voice acting add to the atmosphere that make this game what it is. I was at first worried about it being too much like a team shooter, which I'm rubbish at, but I feel this makes the game easier. A little too easy if you ask me. I finished the game in about 2 days, which did annoy me, but then I did 'shoot my way' through it. The plot is typical of any game or film of it's genre. ...

Summary: Set in an alternate Universe, where the Soviets were the first to use the atomic bomb and consequently went on to conquer the whole world (more or less, switch all events from the last 60 years being done by the USSR instead of the United States). The story starts off when the Soviets invade New York, prompting the creation of the Freedom Fighters movement, our character being one of them (later turning into the main fighter).
