Conclusion: After having owned a PS2, I've recently purchased an Xbox, and the first game played was Forza Motorsport. Wow, if all xbox games are like this, I may never return. I could only compare it to the oppositions 'you know what game' and it is marginally more exciting, especially the hillclimb tracks and downhill in a V8. Graphics are clear and motion is fluid smooth, plus sound and vibration is awesome. Can't wait to buy my second game (possibly Forza 2).
Conclusion: Awesome game. I purchased this game last year. I was skeptical of it, because I didn't know what type of race game this was going to be. So, I get home. Put the game into my xbox. An well, I've have never been so surprised and excited over a race game. I was hooked the minute I had the controller in my hands. I could not put the controller down. Recently, I just purchased the x-box 360. I was very nervous because if this game is going to be on the compatibility list.
Conclusion: Racing simulation. With this type of genre for any game, I expect a whole lot. And boy, Forza Motorsport did not disappoint. Glorious graphics, superb physics, 200+ cars, more than 60 of the world's biggest manufacturers... what more could you ask? I have owned this game for 6 months, and I am nowhere near getting bored with it.
Conclusion: Next generation racing comes your way, from grandturismo to burnout ledgends. Forza motorsport is, nofence to other gamers, one of the best and well organized racing games that was ever created. After about, 10 minutes into the game, I instantly fell in love. Great graphics and amazing gameplay, this game puts you into the king of next generation racing games!
Conclusion: I am a big fan of arcade racing games like the Burnout series so I thought that I wouldn't enjoy this game as much. Boy was I wrong! I was at my local EB games and I had two choices: Forza Motorsport or Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. When I payed up Forza I felt that I was making a mistake...... So I got home, poped in the game and from that moment on I knew Forza was the game for me.
Conclusion: When you first boot up Forza Motorsport what does it say? ‘ Simulation, a mathematical reproduction of real-world systems used for testing, analysis or training.’ And that’s exactly what Forza Motorsport does. In fact, if you go buy a helmet and a steering wheel you’ll probably start sweating under the pits thinking that you’re actually in the race, rather than just resting your rear on your sofa.
Conclusion: I have to tell you, I love this game. It's not perfect by a long shot, but there really isn't anything better on the X-Box right now as far as racing sims go. And Forza IS a racing sim, not an arcade racer so you'll need to spend some time with it to explore the game and get the most out of it. Patient gamers will be handsomely rewarded though. I do have a few beefs. Where is the hood cam? This is something that Toca Race Driver2 did perfectly.
Conclusion: If Forza was to be decisively summed up in a few words, they would have to be 'super freaking awesome'. Or 'amazingly detailed' or 'flawlessly realized.' Because those substantially long words above are just a few examples on how to describe one of the best games you can get on our beloved console. Forza shimmers with awesomeness- it's literally impeccable.
Conclusion: to be honest i don't think a driving game could improve on this. if you loved Gotham racing this is even better - slightly more realistic but with the bonus of being able to build and mod your own motors. its a blatant copy of GT - but beats it by a mile.
Conclusion: Up until I got an XBOX and subsequently purchased Forza Motorsport I was amogst the Gran Turismo faithful but this game blows the doors off anything any of the various incarnations of Gran Turismo has to offer. From visual quality to control and realism Forza tops the list. I've never driven a racing game that so expertly simulates actual real world racing.
