Conclusion: Well it's finally here, and I got to spend a little time with it over the last couple of nights. My impressions so far are pretty neutral. Overall I think it will be a good game, but it certainly does not live up to the hype. For me it falls apart on live support. For example I set up a room last night, and had a friend in the room. I want to choose a new course and the only thing I have to go on is a name, no thumbnail map.
Excerpt: "Well i suppose all i can say about this game is that it is the best driving game i have ever been on its just so realistic to all the other car games i have been on. some of the best points about this game has to be first of all the graphics they are just amazing they have done such a great job with the details of the cars and tracks which gives you a more and better realistic driving experience. Second of all has to be the career mode yes it takes ...
Summary: I've had forza motorsport for about a year now, and i havent raced a single race and left wanting for from the experience. its truly fantastic the graphics are amazing, much better than project gotham 2 (which was out at the time) and GT4 (the main competitor) i think the only problem is the exaggerated tyre noise. its way too loud, but that can be sorted by a simple SFX change in the menu. a brilliant game!
Forza Motorsport (Xbox): Best Racing Sim on the Xbox
18 July 2007
Summary: Forza Motorsport is the Xbox equivelant of Gran Turismo on the Playstation. It does have a wide range of cars real cards and some very good tracks. Looks very good and plays well. The career mode is vast and will keep you busy for a long time, it is a real challenge to complete and the computer controlled cars are quite clever but it just doesnt have the feel of Gran Turismo.
Pros: Loads of Cars & Tracks, feels and looks good
Excerpt: "Forza Motorsport looked a brilliant title when it came out and as I am a fan of driving games I just had to have it, I found a good deal where I got a racing wheel and the game for £25 just after the game had been released so I decided to snap it up straight away. The game is not just a normal car game, it is a proper driving sim much like the Gran Turismo series on Playstation. Although I got the wheel with the game I don't really use it much as ...
Pros: Realistic, graphics are good, lots of content
Excerpt: "Ok, basically this game is like a mash up of the Gran turismo series on the Playstation's and Need for Speed's modification aspect. Now this would be great if it were not for one thing. GT4 on PS2 has loads more cars. Forza's best aspect has to be the car modification and the online play, which GT4 lacks. But the idea of a racing game is to race cars, and the more the better. The car handling is very realistic, but I feel compared to GT4 ...
Pros: Cars that can be modified, even cosmetically
Excerpt: Rented this to play on XBox 360 to get me back into it before the release of Forza2. Stands up reasonably well compared with the likes of PGR3, still a few people around online and gameplay smooth and glitch free. Graphics looking a bit dated but not as bad as I thought they were going to look.
Excerpt: "Forza motor sport takes the concept of many racing games including the playstation famous gran turismo but the xbox is graphics make this a much more addictive and realistic game. The choice of cars is loads over 300 any it will cator for anyone wherther you like ferraris to fords and whether you preffer the likes of a ford gt 40 or a ford mustang the game plays well. Which ever car you preffer to use and you can customise every aspect of the car ...
Pros: loads of cars, realistic game play, custom soundtracks
Cons: quite old now, can be harder for the less experienced gamer
