Phantom Dust Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: Released as a budget title for a mere $20, Phantom Dust is a can’t lose situation. The game offers about 15 or so hours of solid single-player gameplay depending on how many powers players are determined to collect, but the game’s multiplayer modes offer countless hours of battle. It’s definitely a good thing to see Microsoft investing in a unique style of gameplay as it bodes well for the future of similar style games that may be developed down the road, and Phantom...

Forza Motorsport Review

IGN Entertainment
9 February 2008
  • Conclusion: Purposeful. That’s the one word that comes to mind when I think about my time with Forza Motorsport . If you strip away the bright colors coming from a race car body’s ads (these are only there to pay for the important stuff anyways), you have the synergy of parts which are designed to do a very specific job, and do it well. Forza Motorsport is similar to a race car in its design. It was made to do a job and do it better than anything else out there.

Forza Motorsport Review

VideoGamer.com
4 June 2006
  • Excerpt: When Gran Turismo hit the PlayStation back in 1998 it revolutionised the racing genre. It brought hundreds of licensed cars to the finger tips of gamers and showed that there was more to racing games than power sliding. Six years later Gran Turismo 4 wowed PlayStation 2 owners, while Xbox owners were still waiting for their first taste of exclusive racing sim action. The wait is now over.

Forza Motorsport Review

XboxGamers
11 April 2006
  • Excerpt: Microsoft knew that when they started work on Forza Motorsport, just a few years ago, that they would have to put a lot of work into the game to try and take some of the luster away from the Gran Turismo series. Microsoft worked with many companies, including Ferrari and Nitto tires to try and create the most in-depth racing experience of not only on the Xbox but in video games in general.

  • Excerpt: When you think of an epic driving simulator, the first thing that probably comes to mind is Sony’s Gran Turismo series. Microsoft is out to change that by introducing its own ultimate driving simulator, Forza Motorsport. With a lot riding on the game and what it means to the PlayStation 2 – Xbox rivalry there’s a lot of pressure on Forza Motorsport to give Gran Turismo 4 a run for its money.

Forza Motorsport – Review

GameCritics.com
14 March 2006
  • Excerpt: Before I dive into the complex meat of Forza Motorsport, there's something I have to get off my chest. Do the developers behind these racing sims really think it's fun to make players race working-class street cars? I mean, not that the option to do so isn't appreciated. It's certainly nice to be able to take a Civic or Talon, tweak it, and drive it 100 miles per hour.

Expert Review

RewiredMind.com
23 February 2006
  • Excerpt: Forza Motorsport could well be seen as the Xbox’s swansong. The Xbox 360 has now been officially announced, the release schedule for the original system is chock-full of multi-format ports and yearly updates – and as is always the way when a new system is in the works, the average gamer’s interest is waning as they wait for the release of the new system. Luckily, Forza Motorsport is the perfect way of closing the show.
