Summary: the game is a good game. it is by far the best Footie game on the XBOX, however EA have as usual sucked out all of the challenge and personality out of a game that should be both challenging and enjoyable. for a start, the graphics are great. everything is smooth, and the interfaces throughout the menus are clear and quick. that said, you don't buy a game just for it's graphics, and it's menus, you buy it for the actual game.
Summary: I hate to talk negatively about a game if I can help it... after all, I couldn't do any better!! So I'll start with the positives: Graphics look really smooth, replay is very controllable and you can control the height angle and zoom of the camera to look at your wonder-strikes over 'n' over and from all angles. Career Mode offers many more features than previous versions; Premiereship, Div 1,2 & 3, and lower leagues from all over the world.
Summary: Fifa 2004 is not bad OK. But why is it that very lucid, professional looking 'customer' reviews giving five stars appear only on pages selling mediocre but big releases from EA? I Wonder... THE PUBLIC SHOULD BE TOLD!!!!! As for the game, yeah it's ok I suppose, they've nicked most of the best bits from pro evo, just not used them as well. So, oh just buy it. Give in to the unstoppable EA corporate machine. I know you will anyway.
Summary: Ah, as Christmas rears it's joyful and overcrowded gaming shcedule head: the latest installment of Fifa football has come to rock out Stockings. And it does it is a big improvement on the previous game with an interesting twist of off the ball control. But you've heard this all before what you really want to know is the game actually any good, well yes. It plays well the graphics are superb and the whole thing is well polished and feels like real football. The problem?
Summary: The game feels a bit sluggish from the off, and the much hyped "Off the ball" control is pathetic... But other than that the game can offer some fun. Multiplayer is fun, and the new career modes adds a bit of depth to the before bland gameplay. But after that... it all becomes a bit boring, and you are left wanting.
Summary: The hype to this game immense, the possiblity of this game...huge, the game..... the same as the 2003 with tweaked graphics, and possibly a step in the wong direction. Apart from the game speed now set at paint drying speed, all that has been done with this game is corrected the parts of 2003 that should have been corrected.
Summary: Fifa 2004 is not bad (nowhere near as good or exciting as the hype would have you believe) but, surprisingly for such a populist title, only really comes into it's own if you are prepared to play a slow, methodical, tactical passing game. It takes some time for the controls and gameplay to become intuitive, even if like me you played fifa 2003 to death, and a lot of patience is needed to begin to get results at the higher skill levels.
