FIFA Soccer 2004 Review

IGN Entertainment
9 February 2008
  • Conclusion: Gamers around the world will all have their different opinions about which soccer title rules the industry. Many fans believe it to be Konami which owns the genre; point in case, Xbox gamers will not have the opportunity, just yet at least, to try out their title. This puts FIFA 2004 up against titles like Sega Soccer Slam, and Ultimate Beach Soccer. Need I say that FIFA 2004 is without a doubt the best soccer title to grace the Xbox system?

FIFA Football 2004

Thunderbolt Games
27 October 2003
  • Excerpt: In the world of football videogames there are two dominant species. EA Sports and Konami have been battling it out for supremacy for as long as I can remember. Konami’s Pro Evolution Soccer games have taken the top spot in the last few years just as EA’s series met an all time low with 2002 FIFA World Cup . You could be laughed at openly if you mentioned that you had a slight inclination towards the lesser series. However, FIFA 2003 was different.

  • Conclusion: Lowdown Overall, a strong effort from an established name. A few major problems in the gameplay keep Fifa 2004 from being a truly great sporting title, but the bells and whistles of this game are not to be dismissed. Although there's no real competition for EA's Fifa in North America, this is still a must have for any soccer fan.

Xbox Gazette

  • Conclusion: Et bien NON !
