Conclusion: this was a horrible game. The interface was chopped and screwed at best and the stages were made like a very short, ugly movie. I liked nightcrawler's stages because you never really see him in many vudeo games except, x-men, x-men2 ROA and a few others. So it was nice to be able to play as him for the brief time you was allowed to. But iceman's stages, they could've kept them in the scrapyard and did something a hellava lot better than that.
Summary: I'm probably going to receive a major internet ridiculing because of what I'm about to say, but I don't care. For some reason video gamers take it pretty personally when you criticize their favorite games. Oh well. I place this game among the ever growing heap of generic FPS games. Every once in a while you get a really good one that definitely stands above the rest, but this isn't one of them.
Summary: Prepare to hear that a few thousand times, because the NPC's yell it in every encounter. Also the ever popular "I have visual contact". I am very disappointed with this game. It's hard after playing the PC version not to compare the two. The graphics are really sub-par compared to the PC version. It was crystal clear, and you could see forever. In this game everything seems a bit blurry, and far away objects are in a mist. Lighting and colors seem a little off at times.
Summary: Ok the single player is great with sweet tropical island graphics and make your own tropical island in map editor which could have been way better. Ok get this , If your signed off when you make a map you cant share that map online ever not even when you sign on, you have to be signed on while making a map to share it with other people. The online play sux. Thats wear the gameplay goes down. Horrible servers with many stupid people on the game.
Summary: Far Cry is pretty. The water, lighting, explosions and weapon models are all fantastic looking... and the good points pretty much end there. Despite most industry reviews to the contrary, Far Cry is a painfully dull and unoriginal shooter with a few 'feral' abilities thrown in to liven things up a bit or possibly to distract from the fact that Far Cry runs out of ideas within the first few minutes of play. AI is weak, really really weak.
