Arena Football needs improvement. EA Sports (who has the market cornered in sports games) came up short this game. I dont know if EA Sports was trying to make the controls different from NCAA and MADDEN to distinguish it as its own game but it was a mistake. Read more

Arena Football is definitely a unique take on a familiar game, and though it will likely appeal to AFL fans, it's entertaining enough to be a decent diversion now that the NFL is done until summer and different enough that it won't feel like a total Madden rehash with strange rules and less talented players. It's a bit slim on features, but it does carry a discount price which should make up for it, and it's also made up for with some nice new concepts that are obviously... Read more

The huge expanse that is the time between the end of a football season (an end that is a painful one for the majority of fans) and the beginning of a new one can be a long road to travel. Once the Madden ship has sailed it should be comforting for football fans to know that they’ll have another football game coming their way after a few months. It may not be quite as fancy as its big brother, but Arena Football still does its job very nicely. It might be tough to... Read more

Great start for Arena Football, but a lot more could have been added on especially in the season mode. Many players live for the season mode. Other then that and few other things, the game is pretty solid and fun. The multiplayer is what really reels anyone in and that alone makes the game pretty darn fun. Read more

I am an almost life long fan of the AFL. I looked forward to this game as anxiously as any other fan. However, this game just sucks. Some of the most major problems are simple issues of the rules, particularly in the 1 minute warning. The game clock does not stop when you score touchdowns in the final minute of each half, and any even casual AFL fan should realize how dramatically this alters the game play. Furthermore, at the end of a half when a penalty is called, such... Read more
