Summary: DRIV3R is one of the best games i have ever played. Even for its age its great. I had it for my PS2 a while ago, sold it, and now bought it back to play on my XBOX 360. After you play it you want to keep playing it so it is a very addictive game. Especially the free roam mode. Very fun for role-players and just about anybody.
Excerpt: "...can free roam and unlike driver 1 & 2 you can get out and change cars or vehicles you can drive boats ride motor bikes and drive trucks and you can unlock other vehicles the graphics could be better also you can make short movies directing them and editing them to your perfection but the missions are quit hard so you need to calm your nerves and lower your blood pressure and try again you need paitence to play this game. a bad thing is that its only ...
Summary: I have not played Driver 1 or 2 but I have played this one. The graphics are good but not superb. Sometimes it is hilarious because civilians jump off cliffs and policeman bounce on the hoods of their cars. There are three cities, Miami, Nice and Istanbul. Out of the three Miami is the best. There are lots of stunt opportunities in every city which is good because the cops normally go flying often doing about twenty barrel rolls before landing.
Summary: After playing this game, I found that I thoroughly enjoyed this game. But I also understand why some people wouldn't. There is obvious attention to detail into every mode of transportation, the driving is far better than GTA and the crashes are very realistic. The walking is like a first person shooter, where you turn by turning the other joystick. Personally, unlike most, I found it good for this game because of it's usefulness in gun fights.
Summary: The game Driver 3 was dissapointing to many people because of the expectations. Many people thought it was going to be like the Grand Theft Auto series, full of carnage and destruction. But instead this game places you as a cop, and you have to have a lot of skill to successfully manouevre your car boat, and weapons. The game does provide a mode where you can just roam around and get wanted and stuff, but but a game like GTA for that.
Excerpt: "...many would think of as Driver 2 just kicked up a few gears in quality and graphics, although the AI could use some fine-tuning as they do not meet standards of such a new game but are fair enough considering the size of the massive game. Subsequently, those who have admired and enjoyed its predecessors, should definitely be drawn towards the all new crash-em-up, gravity defiant car parts as it is without a question another for the collection considering ...
Summary: It's true that the out of car handling is poor, but easily overcome. Despite the overly negative reviews by gamers who either are immersed in GTA stylke unrealistic driving (and I do liek GTA, just not to exclusion of all games), or are frankly bad players (one reviewer here mentions TWO cities - he obviously couldn't make ti to istanbul, there are three...), this game is worth persevering with.
