Guitar Hero II Reader Review - 9.5

Dark_Jedi_86, IGN Entertainment
7 June 2007
  • Conclusion: First, of you haven’t played Guitar Hero before, it’s a very different kind of game than the archetypal figure of the contemporary videogame, which is a linear adventure or journey that you must finish. There really isn’t any way to “finish” Guitar Hero or beat it, rather the journey is one of musical development, enjoyment, and rocking out hardcore!

Guitar Hero II Reader Review - 9.7

X360Gamer, IGN Entertainment
27 May 2007
  • Conclusion: Guitar hero II for the xbox 360 is one of the best games around. The gameplay is solid and can last you for hours on end. Also that feeling you get when your just shredding on that guitar is the best. What's great about the 360 version is that it gives you around 10 new songs the graphics are better and you get to use that sick x-plorer controller. In the game you get to make your own band give them a name and chose what guitar hero you get to be along with a guitar.

A unique and hypnotic game, now available on Xbox Marketplace

Andromeda Descendent, amazon.co.uk
30 October 2009
  • Summary: I'd imagine most of the people now visiting this page are doing so because this game has a new lease of life as one of the Xbox Originals "games on demand", so I'll answer the questions I myself had before I downloaded it from Marketplace. Although it may seem to be an RPG, it's an adventure/puzzle game set in both in a fantasy universe and a futuristic version of the real world.

A dream came to life

Danny Boy, amazon.co.uk
3 December 2008
  • Summary: Dreamfall is an adventure game, that packs one of the most amazing story's ever made for a video-game. It's a game that makes you feel as if you were in a dream, with those characters. The characters for the game are well scripted and the voice-acters are just right for thier roles. But there are downsides to this game such as: The combat is simplitic and awful. it's a half baked idea that shouldn't have been in the game, but luckly they only make up 1% of the game.

Be prepared for all nighters!!!

Ms. Jt Brown "Jenni", amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: Dreamfall captivates your imagination in such a way, you are sucked into the game and everything starts to feel personal. Luckily, when certain "levels" require you to switch characters, you withdraw slightly. But you still feel as if you are one with the battle to save both Arcadia and Stark. For those of you that cry at emotional films... be prepared to cry as you finish the game.

  • Summary: A good, all round game. I recommend it. Just don't expect to feel like you have completed a game, once you complete the game. Also, the occasional arcadie bits where you hack with your phone or pick a lock are a bit irritating too for die-hard adventurers, but they have chucked these mini-game sorts in for ever.

Loved it...

Mrs K "Natalie", amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It reminded me of a cross between Shenmue (the Xbox game) and the films AI and The Ring. It reminded me of Shenmue (which is one of my favourite xbox games) because you roam around streets and cities, although it's nowhere near as detailed as Shenmue, this really didn't matter. It is by far the best game I have played since Shenmue, Farenheit and Beyond Good & Evil.
