Summary: Background D.O.A Xtreme Beach VolleyBall is a spin off from the Dead Or Alive video game series where players assume the control of a fairly large roster of characters and take part in various forms or 1 on 1 combat (as well as tag team) offering a different fighting game as it was less about button bashing and more about counters. Even then, the ladies of D.O.A had their jubblies shaking about all over the shop thanks to an overzealous rag-doll physics engine..

Excerpt: "...ebay.co.uk. While I view the main Dead or Alive series as a fun distraction that I hadn't found overtly addictive; I was interested in the spin off when I came across it for a cheap price. It's not exactly for everyone and there isn’t a storyline for this game; Xtreme Beach Volleyball is more about giving out fan-service to the fans who liked the female characters in the main series rather than creating something with substance. Though I kind ...
Pros: Multi player option, brilliant graphics, good soundtrack and fun volleyball games .
Cons: No storyline, not for most female players, short and not much substance in the game play .
Summary: As has been said below, this game is gorgeous. The girls look great in it and it is quite a nice game that involves mild titliation, materialism and some volleyball. I have to admit, I do not like my games too complicated or too involved, and so this game suits me well. After all, I am the sort of person who still enjoys playing Playgoy The Mansion. At first, I played it obsessively, completing the campaign for the girls that I liked the best.
Summary: I bought this game a while ago but currently lending it to my sister. I really love it! Its highly addictive in the way of trying to raise enough money to buy the best looking swim suits! Also the graphics and gravure scenes are beautifully done. The characters are all your favorite girls from the past 4 games. Including Kasumi, Hitomi, Leifang, Helena, Tina, Ayane, Christie and new comer, Lisa! I absolutely love DOAX and I really can't wait to get DOAX2.
Excerpt: "OK, we all know that beach volleyball is a mans thing to watch and a womans thing to play. Girls in tight clinging bikini's causing all sorts of erections.... But then there are other things to the game. Sadly, this Xbox title doesn't express the true beauty of beach volleyball, but it does pack one hell of a casino! THE STORYLINE: Imagine Hugh Heffner and his playboy mansion and then convert it to some bloke named Sam and a beach volleyball ...
Excerpt: "I didn't quite know what to expect from this game, but my god it has stolen my days! XBV is a cross between a dating sim and a pick-up and play sports game. I'll get the sports side out of the way now: simple. The volleyball element is pretty easy to get to grips with, with the Xbox's analogue buttons used to good effect (albeit just 2 of them). A child could quite easily play volleyball and yet the play never feels totally aided. However, ...
