Spider-Man 2 Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: There simply aren’t many videogames that have been able to fully realize the capabilities of a superhero, let alone provide an entertaining experience in the process. Most games (even the last Spider-Man game) do a few things right, but fall short. Spider-Man 2 may be the first videogame that succeeds in allowing grown men to finally live out their fantasy of being a true superhero.

Dead or Alive Ultimate Review

IGN Entertainment
9 February 2008
  • Conclusion: The word masterpiece doesn’t get mentioned too often in videogame reviews, but it does seem to pop up every now and then. Not surprisingly, Ninja Gaiden was considered a masterpiece to some, especially with its recent booster pack additions. The extreme difficulty of Team Ninja games, combined with jaw-dropping visuals and technically sound gameplay programming is what makes them so special.

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: While the button-mashing tolerant A.I. of both games forces them to remain stuck somewhere between the shallow and deep ends of the fighting spectrum, there's no boubt that they're still solid titles worth having in your fighting game collection. You absolutely must consider grabbing this - we defy anyone not to be 'sold' after their first glimpse of the game in action.

Dead or Alive Ultimate

Game Over Online
29 November 2004
  • Excerpt: Xbox owners should rejoice, because the holidays came a little early this year. Imagine getting essentially two quality titles for the price of one. Then imagine if those titles are remakes of classic fighting games that have extremely loyal followings. Finally, wrap all of that up with one of the best online modes ever created.

Game Freaks 365
29 October 2004
  • Excerpt: The Dead or Alive series has always been one that turned heads. We saw Dead or Alive 2 in America first, due to the original only being released on the Saturn in Japan. The standard was set as far as the basic countering system goes. Visual standards from Tecmo have always been high, and the Dead or Alive series has been no exception. DOA 3 was an amazing fighter that came out with the launch of the Xbox, giving you another standout game with Halo at the time.

  • Conclusion: Although Dead or Alive: Ultimate isn't a breakthrough from a gameplay point of view it is still a fun, beautiful and exciting game to play. However where it really succeeds is with the online portion of the game, it has the same fun gameplay as the rest of the game except you can now face more challenging opponents as opposed to predictable AI. If you like fighting games and you have an Xbox, Dead or Alive: Ultimate is the place to be.

Supreme Snowboarding

Spieletipps.de
11 December 2005
