Darkwatch Reader Review - 8.5

AGEIS, IGN Entertainment

  • Conclusion: Better than your average FPS !!! To simple put it Darkwatch is a breath of air. Its really not doing anything new, its just doing the same old FPS thing better than most other new FPS. The story line is interesting and will keep you engadged. The AI seems different, better, more aggressive and the controls are very responsive to meet this new challenge. The graphics are nice and moody with audio that matches. I think the single play will be a solid adventure.

Very unique but very good game!!!

  • Summary: I've never played a game like this before. It's very unique but good, you play a cowboy (Jericho Cross) who has been bitten by a vampire. You slowly start to become a vampire, your lust for blood starts with you sinking your teeth in your horse, turning it into the undead like yourself. You also have the choice of useing good or evil powers. And there's lots of strange enemies like dead gunslingers, riflemen and massacred native indians.

Space Invader type Western Vampire Horror !!

  • Summary: I remember when Doom 2 first came out on PC, I was single and had the money to go out and buy a new PC just so that I could play the game that the office staff were playing in their lunch hours. Now years later I am forced to buy the games I want to play at local cheap second hand games shop, to play on the kids X-box after they have gone to bed. My financial position may have changed but the 1st person `shoot `em up' continues to go from strength to strength.
