Conclusion: As has clearly become the case with every DDR title that's released now, it all comes down to what songs you like. By now, you know the gameplay. If you don't, go pick up an older DDR title and a dance pad and educate yourself. It will be cheaper than Ultramix 4. But if you know what this is about, and you just want to get your groove on, see if the songs here appeal to you.
Excerpt: Konami's latest Dance Dance Revolution game for Xbox, Dance Dance Revolution Ultramix 4, contains the same style of play and presentation seen in other DDR games. This may disappoint those looking for a drastic change to the party theme. Everyone else, however, won't mind putting on some dancing socks and stepping out.
Excerpt: The Ultramix subseries of Dance Dance Revolution was created for the Xbox, and it's set up to take advantage of a lot of what the Xbox has to offer, like downloadable content and online play. Ultramix 4 is Konami's compilation for 2006, and it contains much of what you'd expect from a DDR game, along with a few additional modes that change things up a bit.
Pros: Offers a good number of modes that cater to all skill levels
Cons: Song list isn't as strong as it was back in the series' glory days
