Excerpt: The date is August 19th, 1890, and the night before an Egyptian exhibit featuring the statue, The Eye of Isis, is to open, a group of thieves break into the Museum of Great Britain and attempt to steal the statue. Of course, the theft goes wrong and a curse on the statue begins to spread throughout the museum. Enter adventurer Darien Dane, who slips into the closed museum in hopes of finding his friend Victoria Sutton.
Pros: Nice textures and detailed locations, Decent voice work and story, Pretty good for 20 bucks
Cons: Poor lighting and visual effects, Gameplay doesn't bring anything new, Character models are weak, Puzzle are non-existent
Excerpt: By Gary Kearney Sometimes I’m a little slow to get into the newest craze. For example, I was not a big fan of the survival horror games like Resident Evil when they first came out. Actually that is somewhat misleading. I don’t know if I was a fan or not because I didn’t play RE or other games of that genera at first. However when I did finally get around to it, I found that I really dug the whole zombie/living dead action.
Excerpt: I've played worse. I know it's not exactly a ringing endorsement, but Curse: The Eye of Isis doesn't really deserve much else. It's a budget-label survival-horror game from Dreamcatcher, where twenty bucks buys you four to seven hours of being chased around the Victorian era by zombies, mummies, mysterious clouds of hazardous gas, and the occasional giant mutated animal. The point should probably be made, here, that I'm a survival-horror fanboy.
