Conclusion: For thirty beans, JAWS Unleashed is an entertaining title that is good for those looking for a tribute to a great movie or just for some mindless fun. The controls are frustrating for sure, and some of the cardinal rules of videogame basics have been broken here, but I wouldn’t let that stop me picking up a copy of JAWS Unleashed used for ten bucks. I would be reluctant to pick up this one for retail price, but I also don’t consider myself a JAWS aficionado.
Conclusion: The Conflict series is constantly improving on itself with every effort. This time the Xbox Live gameplay is the shining star of the bunch while the single player missions are a disappointment especially when you consider how much we’ve been hearing about the improvements made to the AI.
Excerpt: First, WWII was the topic of choice for videogames. Then there was a brief stint in Vietnam, and now it looks like the War on Terror is where all the action is. Conflict: Global Terror , the fourth installment in the long-running series, continues the trend of hardly adding anything new while maintaining the same problems as its predecessors. At least the redeeming qualities are still intact.
