Summary: So why buy this old game for your Xbox 360 ? Well...rally games today are all on the arcade side of things, most popular being the Dirt and WRC series. That is where McRae 2005 comes in. It has driving physics that feels more realistic than anything the Dirt and Milestone WRC games have presented. It is tough as nails and demands practice. The game also forces you to strategize as to which tires and car settings to use.
Summary: I have not played any other version of this game, so don't know if it is any different to the 2004 title. I do think that this is a tremendous racing game. The car models are fantastic and they feel like they should in real life (I think!). The learning curve is quite steep initially, but after a rew hours you'll be power sliding when you mean too!
Summary: Firstly, I should point out that I am new to Xbox and have not played any other version of the Colin McRae games and so I cannot comment on how it fares next to those. The first thing that strikes you is the in game graphics. The car models are superbly detailed, especially as you damage it (and you will). If you hit a tree, the leaves fall off! pointless, but very nice all the same. The handling is superb but takes a while to get used to.
