Close Combat: First To Fight

Conclusion: Quite a good game, very similar in style to the "conflict desert storm" titles. Involves alot of postioning of your squad to ensure sucess, especially when doing any fighting inside buildings. Good atomospheric graphics although the enemy AI can be dumb alot of the time!. A good rental overall though, took me best part of 5 days to play through the single player campaign.
Conclusion: It's unfortunate when one finally comes face to face with something that he has wanted for quite sometime and it turns out to be less than expected. Fair enough that over time expectations can rise significantly, but I really don't think that mine rose that much. A highly realistic First Person Shooter was what was promised, and given that it is on the Xbox some pretty decent graphics were to be expected in the mix as well. Niether apply to this game.
Summary: O.K. a realistic military shooter that incorporates the true to life tactics of the US Marines currently in Iraq and Afghanistan. Well it is unfortunate when one has to give only 3 stars to not only something that sounds so good on paper, but something that he had also been waiting for for quite some time. Allow me to explain: Think back to the PC, and then think of the Delta Force games, pretty bad aren't they in comparison to modern day combat games.
