Capcom Fighting Evolution Review

IGN Entertainment
9 February 2008
  • Conclusion: You can’t fault Capcom for trying something different with their tried-and-true 2D fighting franchises, and for the most part, Capcom Fighting Evolution is a success. There are instances where the logistics of Capcom Fighting Evolution fails, but the problems are small enough to overlook if you’re hardcore enough to drop forty bucks on a 2D fighter for the Xbox.

Review – Capcom Fighting Evolution

8 June 2006
  • Conclusion: If each character was originally a good beer, then the CFE version of each is a can of 3.2. How much any of this bothers you will depend on how seriously you take your fighting games. If you really don’t care about counting frames and doing super cancels, you probably won’t notice any major balance issues while playing.

Capcom Fighting Evolution

Game Vortex
27 May 2006
  • Excerpt: Your first clue that something isn't right with Capcom Fighting Evolution is the game's look. It is not the coupling Street Fighter , Darkstalkers and Warzard fighters that makes the game look so bad, its that all the character's sprites are more or less ripped from their respective games with no touch-ups or upgrades. This leads to a messy look where some characters are a little less detailed than others or some have almost completely different art styles altogether.
