Great Old Game

BRC98 , GameStop

  • Summary: I have had this game forever now, and believe it or not I would pick this over World at War or Modern Warfare any day. I am not sure exactly why, but I like old games like this. I still have the Call of Duty Originally, and use it often. Compared to games of today, the graphics are not good. But from the year it was made, it was great. The game play was nice, and I liked the line it went in order. It is very historically accurate.

Call Of Duty - Finest Hour (Xbox): Travel back to WWII

Corrado, Dooyoo
27 June 2008
  • Summary: Call of Duty: Finest Hour got a decent score of 7.3 from IGN when it was released. The game is set in WWII, and you will fight in Stalingrad, North Africa and Belgium and more. You fight the Nazis and will have a huge array of weapons to do so, with many types of rifles and smooth actions when firing.
  • Pros: Great graphics, gameplay and sound
  • Cons: Quite short

Good game but annoying!

David McCausland, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: Call of duty finest hour was my first game on the xbox, and as i'm awful at it, i still haven't completed it, i'm stuck in Aachen shooting lots of nazi's in sewers. First of all, the plusses, it's a brilliant game. You start the game in a little boat in the fog, and you slowly progress across a lake, and a burining stalingrad, with explosions, bullets flying, fighters strafing you all scaring the hell out of your comrades.

Call of Duty: Finest Hour (XBox)

doggrer, Ciao
24 February 2006
  • Excerpt: "...the cutscenes are over. The Call of Duty series has always been about "cinematic intensity", and that's obvious from the opening scene, in which you are trapped in a rowboat that's heading toward a burning Stalingrad. As planes strafe across the bow of your boat, killing some of your screaming squadmates, a gruff Russian leader commands you to kill as many Germans as possible, reminding you that he'll shoot any deserters himself. From there, it's ...
