Excerpt: "...shot etc... Now we come to Call of Duty. I hoped for so much. The reviews had been mixed so I thought I'd give it a go. Please unless you are a major fan or ordinary do not go out and get this title. Lets look at the elements that make a good FPS. Graphics - No better than ordinary. It is done better elsewhere than here. Blocky features and no real depth in the surroundings. Controls - Ok. They get you around not too badly. Weapons ...
Excerpt: "Call of Duty is a first-person shooter set in and around various battles from World War II. You take control of characters from different nations thoughout the game, with the ultimate aim of bringing down the Nazi war machine. If you are a fan of first-person shooters (game screen only shows current weapon while walking around environments), you will probably already own this game. If not, you may have seen numerous TV adverts from a busy marketing ...
Pros: Intense (sometimes), noisy action
Cons: A little too short, dodgy controls, overhyped
Summary: First things first: I know most of the other reviewers here have said it, but it's worth pointing out one more time - the COD games on the PC are fantastic, far better than the Medal Of Honor series, mainly due to the excellent way they recreate the loud chaos of war going on around you. This element is the one thing that 'COD Finest Hour' manages to replicate pretty well for XBox. The sound is defeaning, explosions and gunfire are all around you..
A historically accurate game, ruined by infuriating features

Summary: Im reviewing this game, the actual game, as it is out already in North America, and thats where I am at the mo! Well, I rented it, and played it, as I am rather fond of WWII shooters. The first level involving Russian forces storming pillboxes etc, was quite involving. The attention to detail over weapon sounds and the overall look of battle scenes and authentic uniforms, is very close to productions like 'Band Of Brothers' etc.
Summary: What can i say, awkward controls, artificial intelligence with no intelligence, no freedom to roam, no apparent contact when shooting at the enemy (untill they fallover), a medal of honour rip-off to be truthfull - and they where bad enough. The levels basically consist of you following other soldiers running around like headless chickens, I can't even be bothered to finish it.
Summary: This game has great potential, but does not live up to what you expect from the game. The biggest problem is every time you get killed you start from ages away from where you died so you end up repeating missions time and time again and get so sick of it you just stop playing the game. It takes all the fun out of it and it ends up being a chore. Whoever's idea it was to make the game this way needs shot , take note of other great games like halo, with checkpoints.
Summary: Im a great fan of call of duty i have the 2 pc versions and loved it great game.
