really fun

  • Summary: this is the 2nd greatest burnout, and it'll be hard to beat. you can smash traffic into more traffic, the AI is hard but not frustrating, and in later events, you can detonate your car to take out rivals. and the crash mode has been improved, but I could do without the starting phase.

Crashing's a GOOD thing!

Overstock
21 November 2007
  • Summary: Okay, so don't use this game for driving instruction. Most of the races involve crashing into your opponents, parked cars, and/or moving traffic, and driving on the wrong side of the road can be a good thing. It's a lot of fun though! The car designs are sweet, the music rocks, the tracks are full of surprises and challenge. Unlike a lot of driving games, the controls aren't hard enough to take the fun out of the game. Brakes? Who needs brakes?

Burnout: Revenge

swapgame
30 September 2005
  • Conclusion: The best Burnout of the series by far. Awesome new modes include Traffic Attack "Get your revenge on rush hour" and also a new Crashbreaker race, where you can use the previously Crash Mode only Crashbreaker feature in races to takedown rivals instantly after crashing. Crash Mode is also different in this version whereby you must use a boost bar and stop the gauge in the "Perfect" zones to get a perfect start.

Burnout: Revenge

21 January 2007
  • Summary: Without a doubt one of the best car games i've ever played.. Burnout Revenge is even better than Burout 3: Takedown. There's lots more races, cars, and challenges. This game is as intense as ever and never fails to keep you on the edge. The gameplay here is brilliant, the tweaks to the racing mode with vertical takedowns, shortcuts, crashbreakers and traffic checks make the game this much more fun.

Crashes, smahes, & sidewalk dashes

AJ-27 "ajt79t2", amazon.co.uk
20 February 2006
  • Summary: Having had Burnout 3, I was a little hasty in buying this title. However, it is actually as good, if not better than Burnout 3. The main change is that you can now bump traffic that is travelling in the same direction as you out of the way. This has made some of the Crash Junctions more intersting as you can take out several vehicles on your way to the junction without crashing, therefore inflicting more devestation.
