In the mood for a good old fashoned brawl? Look no further.

Patrick Connors, MobyGames
4 February 2003
  • Conclusion: Skilled players, enjoy an action packed title (as a rental, of course!) for a weekend of love-and-hate gameplay. (Why can't Buffy swim?! Tell me!
  • Pros: The graphics- Smooth, pretty and curvy.. Uhm.. Did I say pretty? The action- Non stop action, this game has. you'll have fun watching this game as much as you will playing it. Buffy's hard-hitting combo's (which require actual thought to execute, a trend which is thankfully catching on) will launch vampires and the like across the screen in style. Even when she's losing the same way in a fist-fight, you might admire the spiraling body effect from a hard-hitting roundh...
  • Cons: First and formost: Buffy needs a shut-up-option. Seriously, A repetetive, annoying and usually unfunny comment is blurted out of her every 20 SECONDS! I found myself pausing and unpausing the game to blank her out half of the time. Annoying gameplay: Cheap deaths, cliche' game elements, bothersome 'puzzles' and everything else that seems manditory in a game like this are all here in full strut. Expect EXTREME frustration. Oh and by the way, why can't Buffy swim?!

One of the best games I've ever played

Amber Satania, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: Having owned another Buffy game for the PS2 for a few years and loving it, I was dying to get my hands on this one since I can play it on my Xbox 360. I was not disappointed, this game is even better than I expected! The game features favourite locations and characters from the show, characters are voiced by the actors - with the exception of Buffy.

This classic game comes highly recommended

  • Excerpt: To some, Buffy the Vampire slayer is simply Friends with some vampires in it. Think about it: Xander-Chandler and Phoebe-Willow and er Ross-Giles. However we all know that Rachael would never be able to fight the undead like Buffy can, though like Ms Summers, she does perform well with some solid wood in her hand. Innuendo, you have to agree that the Buffy universe is fairly diverse and the series has a lot of characters and scenarios from which to base a game upon.

Good, but could have been so much better

  • Summary: This is a game you can pick up and play, then browse instructions if you want to enhance your experience. Nonetheless I still have some good points and bad points to highlight. It is easy to play, not hard to progress and quite good fun, although quite a lot of the "ease" is because things glow and the game tells you what to do.

Mediocre TV adaptation

shaneo632, Dooyoo
14 January 2010
  • Excerpt: The videogame adaptation of Buffy the Vampire Slayer didn't so much recieve attention for the quality of its construction as much as it did its graphical breakthroughs, such as being the first game to individually render each of the protagonist's hairs. It is a good looking game with a new other nice features, but it is also very flawed.

Excellent game, but the sequal is the same price and more value for money

  • Excerpt: I was once a Buffy Fan. Series one to be precise. Still at the tail end of my pubescent life, the thought of Sarah Michelle Gellar punching and kicking everyone about the place was just too much of a lure. however, I soon went of the program in the later series as it became too cheesy. So what would I make of the game? Well firstly, I have to say there are 2 games. This is the review for Buffy The Vampire Slayer. There was a sequal (Chaos Bleeds).

Buffy on the X Box - Fun and Action Packed

buffy1986, Ciao
18 October 2005
  • Excerpt: Buffy my favourite show that sadly had to end - I own most things.. you will no doubt find out what I own through my reviews. Buffy the Vampire Slayer on the X Box was a must - have for me, being a Buffy fan. However, I can see other non Buffy enthusiasts will probably like this just for its content as a brilliant game. The surroundings are very Buffy like - they have the convincing Buffy feel to them..
  • Pros: Realistic surroundings  -  convincing Buffy world
  • Cons: Voice acting (Sarah Michelle Gellar's voice not used)
