Pffft.

  • Summary: To everybody who wrote a review before this game came out, a heartfelt 'bleep' you. Wait till you've played the game before you review it. Brute Force is boring. Plain and simple. Despite some very well thought out ideas employed to control a group of characters and a mulitude of different weapons,...

Overrated

Senoir Perez, Amazon

  • Summary: I found myself disappointingly disappointed in this hyped up shoot em' up "follow up" to halo II. This game complicates the wonderful gamepad of the X-box(Trigger to fire boys, thats what they are there for!!!!!!!!!!!). The character swith is not slick or smooth nether is thier A.I.

Say what?

  • Summary: I can't believe some of these reviews. I usually agree with most, but this is the first game I've seen so many great reviews for when the game was so weak. This game is NOTHING like Ghost Recon... except that they're both video games and neither causes monkeypox (that I know of).

  • Summary: the only conclusion that i can come to is that some of the rave reviews of this game were written by those who have a vested interest in you buying Brute Force. this game is nothing special. i swear. the graphics are ok.

Dissapointed..........

  • Summary: After having played this game, I can safely say that I have not been satisfied by it. I wasn't one of the people going into Brute Force looking at it like it was the next Halo. I had simply heard the hype, and was drawn in to purchasing the title.

Pretty without substance

Mark, amazon.co.uk
21 August 2003
  • Summary: Graphics are impressive but a game stands and falls on its playability and this game, at least for me, rubs its nose in the dirt. This game isn't even in the same ball park as Halo or Ghost Recon. The player controls are virtually analogue, not to mention a tad light and the team aspect is clumsy.

Crap name, crap game...

"marcdamianlee", amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: Nice graphics, lots of mindless violence, but the backstory is laughable at best - down right stupid at worst. The gameplay is relatively ok, though I think it would have worked better as an FPS - the tactical squad element is almost non-existent, certainly on the early to middle levels.

Give it a miss

Mark, amazon.co.uk

  • Summary: After completing Halo and Ghost Recon, I was desperate to get another game which I could play multi-player co-op mode on (not Xbox live). Therefore I went for Brute force before doing any homework, big mistake.
