Beats out any modern WWII game: hands down

NickW , GameStop

  • Summary: I had this game when I was a little younger for the original Xbox platform. Keep in mind I owned almost every Call of Duty and Medal of Honer game that was released for the original Xbox (not to mention now for the 360). Even with having played all those games I can honestly say it is if not the best, one of the best WWII games that was released on a 6th generation platform.

Very good game.

  • Summary: Overall this is a very good game. The graphics are good and the levels are well designed. The controls work decent. I am used to running up and shooting the enemy and this game is different as you actually need a strategy and it is a nice change of pace. The storyline is well told and probably one of the best I have seen in a World War 2 shooter. The game features a lot of innovation as to how you partake in the missions.

  • Summary: Brothers in arms road to hill 30 in my opinion could have had a bit of a better ending, the graphics were very well done except for when they talk which is a hard thing to animate sometimes the characters mouth will not move when they talk but in all i liked the graphics. The sound was well done i had no problems with the sound. The game play was one of the best games i have ever played. I am never going to sell this game.

  • Summary: This is one of THE BEST WWII games out there on the market. Im sure you are wondering " An kindof outdated game,hmmm...how could this actually be good?" Well, its a wonderful game becuase of the sound. It's superb! How you can Flank, supress, and keep your enimies pinned down and attack them when they are like that is AWSOME!..It's exellent becuase you can issue squad command orders. It's pretty much your choice of who lives and who dies by the commands.

  • Summary: This game is awesome, it puts every ww2 games on xbox to rest, it has everything, a squad to command, and you get to fight as the 101st. With the next game coming out which is very anticipated, this game is the mother of the series. Launching the series into fame! The game is just plane fun to play and fun to use your squad tactics.

Hour of Victory was better...

fuzzy , GameStop
9 April 2008
  • Summary: I have played many terrible games (Halo, Hour of Victory, Kengo, etc.), but this comes up just shy of 1st. The hit detection is the worst I have ever seen. You can stand point blank and unload an entire clip and they won't die. The whole flanking thing gets old real quick. This hardly feels like an FPS and more like a strategy. The graphics are terrible. They look fresh out of 2000. The story gets so boring because in the long run, all you do is flank.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 Reader Review - 10.0

  • Conclusion: This game is pretty damn good. I cant wait to get my hands on the new BIA game. The graphics were pretty good gameplay was awesome. A perfectly desgined squad based world war two shooter. The controls are easy to learn and use. Commanding your squad is simple quick and effective. the AI is good but arent too smart. They generally stay in one place and dont try to flank your squad or make any strategic maneuvors.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 Reader Review - 9.9

Enduro Man, IGN Entertainment

  • Conclusion: When I first heard about this game, I groaned, rolled my eyes and asked, "does the world really need another U.S. based military shooter?". Plus another World War Two game to boot? I mean, we've seen it all before. The lame AI, the cheesy graphics, the sloppy and meaningless squad controls, the scripted gameplay...why bother, especially considering the disappointment of Call of Duty?

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 Reader Review - 10.0

Znutar, IGN Entertainment

  • Conclusion: It's a whole new ball game in the World War 2 market. Combining tactical elements from games like Squad Leader (It plays on a table, not on a screen, but it's a classic) with elements from first person shooters, Brothers in arms brings a different feel to the table than any other game. Thankfully, the AI is top notch, because if it weren't you would never be able to survive. Almost every opportunity is created for you by orders you give to your squadmates.
