Not as Good as Original
15 December 2005
Summary: First off I was really looking forward to this game being released having been addicted to the old PS1 game. This game is sadly lacking in comparison unfortunately. The Generate Innings functionality is the one omission which leaves me dazzled, I do not want to bowl for 2-3 days in a test match, I want to bat. Codemasters should have kept this option available.
BL 2005 huge disappointment, Codemasters should be ashamed

Summary: I'm very surprised to see all the good reviews that Brian Lara Cricket 2005 has received. I was very excited when Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 entered the shops, I thought it would be exactly like its predecessor in entertainment, with present day magnificent graphics. Unfortunately this is not the case. There are so many problems with this game. 1. The player's names: Who the hell is A Flantiff and M Vorner??? I didn't know I had the German version of the game!
Summary: There are so many things better in Cricket 2005 i cant name all of them because i would breach my limit of 1,000 words. So i'll just keep to the obvious ones. Players names- Cricket 2005 has everyones proper names (Andrew Flintoff, Ricky Ponting you name it it has them all)Brian Lara though has totaly fake names. Has anyoone here heard of Marcus Triscathick or Andrew Streass. If so please contact a councilor.
Summary: This game is extremely disappointing. The names are not genuine - and the gameplay is patchy at best. I have the Xbox version, and I was stunned and disappointed to see that the names of just about every player in the game was WRONG! Only Brian Lara himself and Ricky Ponting have correct names in the game - and if you want to play with authentic teams, you have to spend hours editing the names yourself.
