games can rest assured that nothing has really changed from the game's original form. I mean this in a completely literal sense since nothing has changed in the game from its previous incarnations, making Read more
Being such a huge fan of the 007 movies and games, it’s a shame that the game with the most possibility out of the last few years ends up being the one I would like to change the most. This is a game that will only go for the hardcore 007 fans, besides them this game is a good rental. Read more
Before you jump to conclusions on Bloody Roar Extreme, let me point out that this game retails for $29.99, a deal compared to the standard $49.99 of the majority of new releases on the market. At just over half the regular price of a new game, Bloody Roar Extreme reverts back to classic arcade fighting styles that get a graphical boost on the Xbox to provide you with anime style combat without the complex combos of the more intense fighters available. This is a game you... Read more
Bloody Roar Extreme can be fun, but considering what else is out there, it just doesn't hold up. When Bloody Roar came out on the Gamecube, it was the only 3D fighter on the block. On the Xbox, it's a whole different phylum. Games like Dead or Alive 3 and Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance are far better titles, and in only a few more months, the epic Soul Calibur 2 arrives. The uniqueness of the game is good (Humans transforming into animals) but the creators of the game do not make it seem so unique at all. Moves are way too easy to do. Only around three buttons to press to do a special or finisher and that is ridiculous for a fighting game. If you are... Read more

The Bloody Roar franchise is probably one of the most underrated fighting series of all time. Bloody Roar Extreme is an extremely fun fighting game with tight controls. There are a wide variety of characters to pick from and each character can turn into their beast form. I like the dual aspect of having two different forms for each character as it allows for some strategy. This is a fighting game that doesn't take itself to seriously and that really makes it a blast to... Read more
the game itself is a solid fighter true to the series. there are some lack of polish on the whole, but the game remains playable. if you are a die-hard fighting fan, then this game may be a worthwhile pursuit. however, if you are new to the genre you may want to look elsewhere. i do recommend this title, albeit not resoundingly, as there are better games out for the xbox.
