A decent game, and would make for a decent week's entertainment. It isn't great by any stretch mind.

Excerpt: One of the first Xbox games, Bloodwake wasn't treated to well by the critics or the general public. Not that it got much attention mind, near enough everyone was too busy with classic games like Halo and Dead or Alive 3 to really give it much time of day. I was pretty sceptical about it. Any game you can get preowned for ?5 just a year into a console's life can't be very good, but I was bored and felt that burning sensation in my pocket. The game is a Combat Boat game.
Summary: This game is incredibly simple. There's nothing more to it then blowing things up. You'll be able to attempt missions, which as you can guess, involve blowing up boats and land structures, escorting friendlies, and err, blowing things up. So yeah, the missions aren't really that varied, you'll just experience bigger and more frequent enemy boats. That's not to say that it isn't fun though.
Summary: Fairly repetitive game where increasing difficulty comes with more and more opponents at the same time. However, good for a quick thrill and the quest to unlock the next boat or level is quite addictive in itself. As per one of the other reviews, many of the primary weapons (e.g. chain gun) have inexhaustible ammo and have auto aiming, so there is an aspect of just wanting to put a rubber band round the firing trigger!
