Summary: First of all a warning. please make sure if you buy this game that you clarify that you are getting the PAL or NTSC version as there are no notes on the page itself and i received a copy that would not work with my XBOX. However the game its self is not the best game ever released, however the voice acting, the story more than make up for it. There is the odd glitch however For any fans of the Legacy of Kain series this is a must buy.
Summary: Ive read other peoples reviews of Blood Omen 2 and can see their is a variation of opinions. The people that think this game sucks i crazy because how often does a game come about that has a bad guy as the character you control and how often is it a cool one??? Kain looks so evil and just makes you wanna be nasty. The storyline also is really interesting although legacy of kain defiances is better so hey why not buy both?
Excerpt: "...on from the original game, Blood Omen. Kains powerful army of vampires has been defeated and he himself has been left for dead at the hands of a powerful warrior known as the Sarafan Lord. As you could imagine awaking from near death and finding everything you knew and loved is gone, your race almost extinct, and your power and memories stripped from you. Lets just say you wouldn't be the happiest of bunnies. So another epic chapter in the the Legacy ...
Pros: Epic Story line, Quality voice acting, moody atmosphere, Excellent boss fights
Cons: AI somewhat lacking, Simple combat, Simple puzzles
Summary: I first got Blood Omen 2 on the pc. and it kept freezing on one particular part of the game. But before my computer kept stopping my evil vampire kill this fat mugger i was playing the best 3rd person adventure game ever. So i decided to get on the xbox, and the controls are much more fluent and far more ideal for the game's perpose.
Excerpt: "Blood Omen 2 has a great look and shows some back history to the Legacy of Kain series. The graphics are pretty acceptional but could use some improvement to look more realistic. The fighting is very cool and sucking blood from your victims to retain life is somewhat satisfying. In the game you may pick up certain weapons in order to beat your enemies with. These include some boards, swords, and other weapons you can pick up from your dead opponents. ...
Pros: Cool story line, has vampires, cool fighting style, magical powers
Excerpt: "Blood Omen 2: Hack and Slash Excellence or should it have never have risen form the dead? Opening with a CG sequence that would have been mind bending about 2 years, it didn’t live up to present day standards, disappointing for an XBOX game. In game however, the graphics are of a higher quality, though in the cut scenes Kain does have a problem gripping some objects, this is where the complaining stops. The graphics detail in the game is much more ...
Pros: Excellent pick up and play game, easy intuative play and good fun
Cons: Sometimes a little repetative and you only get to use the soul reaver at the very end
Excerpt: "BLOOD OMEN 2 The legacy of Kain series. This game is set 200 years after the original Blood Omen, but several centuries before Soul Reaver. The basic story is Kain (a vampire) is resurrected 2 centuries after being defeated and thrown off a cliff by a Sarafan lord who then stole the Soul Reaver (a big sword).
