Conclusion: Sucks big time! Avoid! It has nothing to do with football whatsoever. No "feeling" of the real game. Typical EA to put all their efforts into licenses, and nothing into gameplay. It feels and plays like any other EA Fifa game. I have no idea why they keep trying - It's the same every year! "This year we have done it. New gameplay that feels like football". Yeah, right... It does not deserve to live. Kill it, and put it out of it's misery.
Summary: Was looking forward to playing the game. Unfortunately it won't play on my xbox 360, I missed the small print on the xbox website that said only the US version of this game can be played on the xbox 360 after a suitable update...hence my disappointment!
Summary: Very average FPS, from 2006, even then it was dated. No ability to jump or sprint, you're like an old man wheezing through a warzone; an OAP Rambo. Savepoints only come at the end of a mission, you cannot save you progress during a game.Very tiresome. If the awful Doom3 let you save when you wanted. Cutscenes that take themselves seriously and unskippable at the start of every level.
Summary: Well, where do I start? Like so many John Woo Fans out-there that got suckered into purchasing this game after seeing the wonderful TV ad, I felt like spazzing out. The graphics are really not bad, however, before you get that debit card out listen to the rest of the story. 1. Each time you switch on the game, even after making a profile you have to sit and watch the prologue and the loading time is extremely long for an Xbox game.
Summary: Dont believe what everyone else says this game was all about guns any yet firing them felt oddly wrong. I had a more fun and intense time firing random guns and bullets into crates in half life 2. None of the guns in black match the stacato beat of the plasma rifle on your soul.
Summary: I would recommend that you rent this game before buying, something I wish I had done. Although the games graphics are good theres not much else to the game. Every level is basically the same so after level 3 or 4 youve seen every explosion and all the different efects that the bullets have on youre surroundings. All in all its TOO much like an arcade shooter where the designers/developers only expect you to play it for 20mins tops or until your money runs out.
Summary: Back to basics it certainly is! But then again so is pong and space invaders and after 10 minutes of playing them you realise why. There is nothing new here and large shoot outs can be found in many FPS. (the hospital level in Soldier of Fortune is a good example) The much talked about active environment is also over hyped.
Summary: 4 Hours of gameplay. Just as the game gets good, EA roll out the credits pointing at a sequel. This game stinks of EA influence. Too much like Medal of Honor and no real feeling to it. Great while it lasts. Wait for the inevitable reductions.
