Conclusion: When I read about this game in a magazine in March 2004 I thought "I must buy that; It's outstanding..." In truth I never got around to buying it until just recently and honestly I rocks... I have only played the first few levels and its simply magical... The characters, the world, the gameplay and objectives all have a sense of peacefulness to them...
Conclusion: This is what I call a game! I picked this up for $16 new and I don't think I've ever gotten a better deal on a game. If you like the Zelda style games then this one is perfect. The only possible problem is that it's a little short, but that's probably only because it wasn't frustratingly hard. There was a fantastic variety of characters and humorous moments that kept the game interesting throughout the experience.
Beyond Good & Evil (Xbox): Beyond Good and Evil, years on; HD rerelease.
3 April 2012
Summary: Introduction __________ What could be better than a stealth guerrilla dystopian action adventure game? A stealth guerrilla dystopian action adventure game with anthropomorphic animals of course! In 2003 Ubisoft released this title across nearly every platform that was available at the time. Its commercial success was not as high as anticipated but it performed reasonably well on the PC and the Xbox.
Pros: Hasn't aged badly, still a refreshingly well designed, a slightly different and quirky game
Cons: The HD rerelease brings nothing significantly new to the table
Summary: I remember playing this game for the first time...it was a game i wanted to play again and again...getting rid of my Xbox ment i couldnt anymroe so I was delighted to find this on amazon... Ok dont get me wrong..its not like the latest games out there now in terms of graphics, motion etc....but I assure you this is a game taht will stay with you...kinda like how 'Zelda ocrina of time' did... Must have!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Summary: The best description of this game I have heard was that if Pixar was to make a game this would be it. From start to finish this game is pure quality. It does best what is most important in a platformer: to create a world which is inviting, believable and alive. At the same time being a showcase for the great French wit, imagination and strong visual style.
Summary: This is a fantastic undiscovered gem of a game. I picked it up at Game (back when they still sold regular Xbox games) for about £10-15. I'd never heard of it before, but the game description and screenshots on the box caught my interest. I absolutely loved the game. I found it both challenging and just downright enjoyable...great music...interesting characters. I was sad to finish it because I didn't want it to end - just like a great book.
Summary: I first heard about this game from a friend, who recommended it unconditionally. I later found it going for £20 in a shop (about a month after release), which just tells how poorly the game did. However, it has built up a fiercely loyal fanbase, and deservedly. Beyond Good and Evil is a fitting title for the game. To start with, the story is very well done, with most characters, although clear good/evil, having mixed agendas, so you can at least relate to the baddies.
Summary: The term "classic" gets bandied about a lot, and is often applied to yet another annual update of some fat license or one more bog-standard FPS. "Beyond Good and Evil", though, is the real deal. The gameplay is quick and intuitive: some might even go so far as to call it "easy", but that, I feel, would be to miss the point.
Summary: Brilliant game and thorughly joyfull from beginning to end, most problems to solve are difficult yet intuatively solved after working them out rationally, shame that such a great game has cartoony graphics but you forget that pretty quickly as you start living the game!, the stealth levels are very hard but totally addictive but i would say that the stealth is one part of the game that let it down slightly-only due to a matter of personal taste really.
Summary: one of the best xbox games. ive played loads of xbox games and this belongs on the top pile of games i own. although once you played it you won t want to play it again [like any other xbox games then apart from sport sims which you can play fequently]. the game is good the way you have to solve and creep around bad guys and the way you have got a hovercraft to get to different places breaks the game up nicely you just feel you have to complete the game unlike other games...
