Summary: I'm clearly in the minority here, but for me, this game did not live up to the hype. It's a decent game, sure, and for something that you can probably get for ~$10 at this point, it's worth a play, but seriously, there are better Xbox games out there, and you don't even have to look hard to find them. Beyond Good & Evil is a pseudo-sandbox-style action adventure in which you play as Jade; a sort of "action reporter.
It takes the elements of so many games and put them into one. If you're a gamer, you may know what this means.

Summary: It is a very fun game with excellent dialogue. With so many elements of like racing, brawler, photo-shoot, platforming, and stealth, it has a lot to offer. But if you're a gamer, you may know that so many things like this can make the gameplay a little mediocre. It doesn't doesn't hurt the over all experience and story though.
Summary: Beyond Good & Evil is one of the best, yet most overlooked games available, however, those who have played it know exactly what everyone else is missing out on, a fantastic gaming experience. Today's video game market is being flooded by the overflow of endless first person shooters and cookie cutter adventure games; Beyond Good & Evil is something fresh and unique. It combines elements from many different game genres.
Summary: I am not a hard core gamer, but do own over 50 xbox games, and this was one of the best I have ever played! The characters and story line are great! I have played many other highly touted games, i.e. Halo, Halo2 etc. and though different, this game ranks up there with the best! If you have never played it, I highly reccomend that you grab a copy and do! And since it is an older game now, you can also get a great price on it.
Conclusion: When I read about this game in a magazine in March 2004 I thought "I must buy that; It's outstanding..." In truth I never got around to buying it until just recently and honestly I rocks... I have only played the first few levels and its simply magical... The characters, the world, the gameplay and objectives all have a sense of peacefulness to them...
Summary: So often we look for computer games that simulate, we forget about those that actually stiumulate. I'm as much of a fan of the movie tie-in or the sports franchise as the next gamer. But every once in a while a singular title, made with no guarantee of financial success, but simply because a few people had a genuinely creative thought, reaches out and demands attention. Beyond Good and Evil seems, at first, the least likely candidate in the world for this.
