Conclusion: Being the newest game in the BatMan franchise this proves to be the best one ever made, in my opinion. Even though a port, it's a welcoming addition to the BatMan loving Xbox fans out there. The game should give off enough fun for anyone who likes a decent action game and a decent crusader. Overall it shines brilliantly compared to other titles of its franchise, but still falls short in some areas, mainly having to do with gameplay.
Excerpt: Ubi Soft's Batman Vengeance is an extraordinarily precise re-creation of the animated TV series on both the visual and aural front. Just like the animated series, the backgrounds are sharp edged with flourishes of gothic detail. It's simple textures and dark colors are not pushing the Xbox anywhere near its limits, but it doesn't have to. Its goal was to re-create the animated series and this easily seen in backdrops and the character models.
Conclusion: Animated Series. The look and feel of Gotham City as seen in the cartoon series has been nailed. Lots of dark brooding buildings with spotlights swirling – it recreates the city perfectly. Batman is superbly animated. (I especially like the way he bolts up ladders and the method he uses on the descent.) Everything he does is fluid and even his multi-purpose cape reacts realistically no matter if Batman’s using it to float to a lower level or just pummeling a bad guy.
